We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but we have just been soaking up the last couple weeks of summer (even though I’m very much ready for Fall weather!) 🍁

Farm stand will re-open mid-September. ✨ I felt like my goodies got a little cooked in the stand the last weekend it was open and I want our products to always taste fresh and amazing! Be on the lookout for us to re-open September 12th weekend. ❤️

September will also bring us more calves! Our two moms, Big Bertha and Gretel, were bred to a black angus last winter. We can’t wait to see if they’ll come out red or black! I’m excited to see our portion of the herd grow from 4 to 6. Growing your herd is slower with cows than sheep or goats, but slowly but surely, we’ll get there! 🫶

When you buy your eggs from your grocery store, you are missing out on so many benefits that come from your local farm fresh eggs! ✨

Farm-fresh eggs usually have:

* More omega-3 fatty acids
* More carotenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin
* Potentially somewhat higher amounts of vitamins A and E
* Deeper-colored yolks
* Stronger shells

Our chickens are free ranged, given a healthy diet including extra protein and calcium, and are collected each day - then rinsed and refrigerated. 🥚

This last weekend, we said farewell to our two bottle baby goats. A part of me had “regrets” as they drove away, because these two siblings were the sweetest. Chip, the brown buckling, loved his pets! He’d follow you around all day to get some loving. And Dip, the black doeling, had mastered her “mom” scream that I thought it was my kids yelling for me most of the time! 😂

But I’m thankful they found a forever loving home. 🥹
