We have red raspberries available for u-pick tomorrow, Saturday, June 20, from 9:30 am - 10:30 am.

Use the strawberry parking area, and then go back to the raspberries to get your container.

For those who haven’t been here before, turn into our gravel driveway, go straight up and over the hill, and turn right at the bottom of the hill. You can’t see the parking area from the road.

Please watch for people walking, and let them have the right of way.

Our price is $5.00 per quart, pick your own.

Cash or check only.

Bathroom facilities are not available.

We have a limited amount of raspberries again, and we’re limiting the picking time to just one hour. The early variety (Boyne) is ripe now, and the later variety (Encore) has enough ripe berries to require picking. We should another picking or two of Encore in a week or so.

Our strawberry season for 2026 has ended.

We enjoy seeing familiar faces and seeing the kids growing older, as well as all the new people we have met these past few weeks.

We thank you all for coming out for strawberries.

Next up are raspberries. We have a week or so before they are ready; we’ll post when we are certain there are enough raspberries to warrant opening.

Thank you again for coming out to Flint Creek Orchard. We hope to see you again.

The next time we will be open for strawberry picking will be Monday, June 1. Our hours will be 4:30 - 7:00 pm.

Our price is $5.00 a quart, pick your own.

Cash or check only.

We have quart containers and trays for you to pick into and then take home.

We don’t have bathroom facilities.

We have a new flag at the base of the drive; look for the “OPEN” flag hanging off of the sign.AFTER YOU ARRIVE (because you can’t see the strawberries from the road): Once you turn into our drive, continue straight (south) over the small hill and go through the open gates. Park on the right or straight ahead, in the grass. Our “headquarters” is the white metal open-sided shed on top of the hill. Come on up, we’ll greet you, get you set up, and off you can go to pick strawberries.

Today was a lovely weather day. The temperature was in the 70’s with a bit of a breeze, and sunny. What a nice day, and we appreciate people taking the time to come out and pick strawberries. We saw a lot of very nice berries leave today, and we are sure they went to appreciative homes.

Thank you for thinking of Flint Creek Orchard.

We are going to open for strawberry picking on Wednesday, May 20, from 9:00 am - 10:30 am. Please keep reading.

Here’s the deal. Our early strawberry variety has been blooming for over a month. The earliest flowers are now ripe berries, but there are not enough of them to sustain a regular schedule. So, we’ll open on Wednesday morning only this week so that this early fruit can be harvested.

Next week, weather permitting, we hope to start a regular schedule. There are lots of green berries out there, but it will take time to ripen them. Warm weather will help.

Thank you for being interested in Flint Creek Orchard, and we hope to see you at some point during this berry season.

Hello everyone and welcome from Flint Creek Orchard! We are excited about the new season and are getting ready for our first crop, which are strawberries. The strawberries bloomed earlier than normal this season, and we were expecting to be open much earlier than Memorial Day, our usual starting day. But, it has turned much cooler, and the cool weather slows down berry development.
I will post again in a week, and I hope to be able to give a more definitive answer then as to when we will open.
Thank you for being interested in Flint Creek Orchard, and we hope to see you here when we open for what looks to be a nice berry crop.

Hello everyone, from Flint Creek Orchard. Today was the day to put straw on the strawberry rows, and our friend John helped us again. We’ve had some pretty cold temperatures so far this winter, but we had a good snow cover along with those prior cold events. Now the straw is on, and it will be there to slow down development (by keeping the ground cool) in the spring, and to provide a separation later between the berries and the ground, to keep them clean. The new leaves and all of the berries are safely tucked into the crown, waiting for winter to finish up.

Speaking of cold temperature, we’ll have to wait and see how the peaches, raspberries, and blackberries come through winter. It was cold, yes, but the more significant thing is that it was that cold early in the winter. Hopefully, everything was well into dormancy, and the temps themselves were not too cold for the fruit buds. We’ll see.

We’re both doing well, and we are looking forward to the 2026 season kicking off with strawberries. That will be late May, and we’ll keep you posted.
