Apparently 6 years is all we get out of our well pump. I was mid watering the garden and lost water.

So there we were out pumping water from the spring except that pump didn’t want to work either. So Joe tried cleaning the carburetor except it still didn’t want to run.

Thankfully we have a little generator and a portable sump pump, so we used that to get water out of the spring cistern. And we went to the neighbors to get 10gal of drinking water because the spring hasn’t been treated.

😑 I sure hope that someone can get out here tomorrow to fix this. I don’t want to do this for too many days!

And this is why it’s important to have emergency money or money in savings, because it’ll be thousands of dollars most likely. With 6 of us here, can you imagine not having water?! 😱

Surprise! Daniel went out to see the bunnies and found a baby. We later found a second that was dead. 😭 the sad reality of farm animals

We moved clover and her baby away from the surprise male (I bought 2 from the Amish and didn’t even think about if they were boy or girl) 🤦🏼‍♀️

We buried and said goodbye to the sweet little bunny that didn’t make it.

If only I had 18 more hours in the day and 10 more tractors with buckets. 🤪

I’m laying more of the mud management mats in the lean to for a dry sheltered spot for the horses. I hauled in the sand, layed the mats, now I need to haul in more sandy gravel.

And hopefully we get the walls put on before winter 🤪

Foal cuteness photo dump!

So we chose a name and it’s is Tallulah. Why? Idk, it just seemed fitting! We will call her Lulu mostly but it seemed that Willamina Takini needed a baby with an equally unusual name.

She’s now a day old and figuring out her legs. She saw the vet last night which prompted a return this morning to receive IgG plasma IV as she apparently didn’t receive enough colostrum with the immune system antibodies. We had struggles wrangling Lulu and keeping Willa happy while we tortured her baby, but after the third attempt at getting the IV in, she received her plasma and we are hoping that tomorrow her numbers come back showing that she doesn’t need a second IV bag.

Her tendons are still a little lax, causing her fetlocks (ankles) to drop a little low, but a few more drain the world should straighten her out.

We are very much loving her and we took her out to the pasture for about 15 minutes after hosing Willa down. Halter training is already underway and she’s doing well.

She’s just so stinkin cute!!! I hope you enjoy the photo overload that you’ll be seeing for a while! 🤣
