UPDATE: Monsanto and their allies are attempting to block our efforts to protect family farmers in Oregon. A bill initiated last week (HB 4122) would give local governments in the state back the right to protect their farmers from GE crop contamination. The bill is hanging by a thread, and the people’s voice is all that will turn politicians around in support of the proposed bill.

ACTION: Send an email and leave a message for House Speaker Rep.Tina Kotek. Tell her thanks for her efforts in support of bill HB 4122! and ask her to please: 1) support the placement of the bill (HB 4122) into the CONSUMER PROTECTION COMMITTEE, likely the only place the bill will not get blocked. 2) Let her know you feel *LOCAL* governments in Oregon should have the authority to protect family farmers from contamination by genetically engineered crops.

Her email is [email protected] and call her office today (503-286-0558).

ALSO we need legislators to speak up in support of HB 4122, and send Rep. Kotek the same message, so please ask your own State Representative and Senator to let Rep. Kotek know they support HB 4122 and support it receiving a fair hearing in the CONSUMER PROTECTION COMMITTEE:

She is about 11 months old and we can't begin to guess her breed, she is likely mixed with 4-8 different breeds. She has the facial bone structure somewhat of a Puggle, ears of a Lab, attitude of a Cattle Dog, size is small, and coloring? Check out those gorgeous brindled legs!
This girl had a horrid start to life. In April 2015 she had been locked in the back of a U-Haul for 4 days with no food, and was witnessed being kicked and beaten by her owner. A twenty dollar bill bought her freedom, now she is on her way to a wonderful new life.
Thank you SO MUCH, Silvia, for saving this girl.
She has been spayed, de-wormed and is UTD on vaccinations and is available for adoption. She can be somewhat dog selective, which we are working on, no cats, and LOVES all people. She shows NO sign of any of the horrors she has been through and will make a fantastic addition to any family. Because of her Cattle Dog nippy tendencies, we are asking no children under 14. If you'd like to meet her, please fill out an application here- https://secure.jotform.us/form/30735465868163 .
Fiora went through bouts with UTI's that required longer term fostering to figure out what her issues were, what meds would get this under control, and what needed to be done to maintain her health. We have FINALLY done this so that she could join the Freedom Tails training program, she does require a special diet and a daily pill (edited 12-13- she is no longer on daily pills and doing well! Her food is Hill's c/d Urinary Care which is comparative in price to quality grain free food :) ) to prevent re-occurrence of her UTI's, which may be the only permanent damage this girl shows from her difficult beginning at life.
Fiora is currently in the Freedom Tails prison training program, she will be leash and obedience trained when she graduates on December 17th. To read more about Freedom Tails, please go here- http://www.hava-heart.org/freedom-tails . Please share this post to help Fiora find her home for the Holidays!
