Picking fresh strawberries in the rain and “helping” dad fix fence today (aka swinging on the bars of the side by side and picking wild flowers while dad works) 🔨❤️🍓

Snack with a view ☀️ The animals are all out exploring a new pasture today. Even with the grass as tall as the babies, they will have it mowed down in no time 🐑🐮

A weekend spent in the garden over here 🌱 We are testing out our green thumbs with some new plants this year and working to maintain the preexisting fruit trees on the land. This year we hope to have home grown peaches, pears, plums, grapes, blackberries, blueberries, jalapeños, bell peppers, onions, cilantro, zucchini, cucumber, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkins, squash, and 3 different types of tomatoes! If it all pans out, we may have to open a grocery store next while we are at it 😉

The faces behind Geronimo Acres. Hi, we haven’t formally introduced ourselves yet so thought we would for those who don’t know us personally. We are the Grahams. Aaron and Isabel, aka mom and dad, are first generation ranchers just flying with the wind and learning as we go. Aaron is a law enforcement officer and a part time bomb technician at the police department. Isabel is a stay at home mom and runs many parts of the ranch. We have son who will be 2 in June, Leeland. He is the real boss around here and loves to be outside with his animals working alongside mom and dad. Lastly, we are also expecting a little girl in August 2024. We like to keep things busy and are happy you are here to follow our journey 🫶🏻

A new face, a new location, and a new name. Big things going on around here. Yesterday, 4/21/24, our last pregnant ewe gave birth in the early morning hours. Mama, Abba, and baby boy are doing well. That makes 6 healthy lambs for our 2024 lambing season! Over the past week, we have packed up our small 3 acre farm and family and have officially moved to this gorgeous, established USDA farm in Westport, Indiana that is 20 acres. We can’t wait to expand our farm in our new location, grow our homesteading knowledge, and raise all of our babies here, the four legged and the two leggeds ❤️ The property we have purchased is already booming with fruit trees, gardens, bee hives, barns and pastures. All of the animals have settled in nicely and are thriving in their new spaces. Lastly, with our move, we have renamed our farm from “Graham Farms” to “Geronimo Acres”. We cannot wait to share our story behind this name and our path we have taken to get here. In the meantime, enjoy some photos of our new property and look out for our next post!
