So many people have told me that just being out in the flower field makes them feel happier, and I get it. The end of summer has me feeling exhausted too, and this helps.

So if you’re having a bad day, need a little reset, or just want an excuse to wander through flowers and look cute doing it, come brighten your day at the farm. 🌼✨

What do you do with garlic scapes? 🌱 One of our favorite ways to use them is this simple garlic scape pesto—fresh, flavorful, and a great way to enjoy this seasonal favorite.

Garlic scapes are in the farm stand now, but only for a short time!

✨ Garlic Scape Pesto
• 8–12 garlic scapes
• ¼ cup roasted sunflower seeds (or any nut or seed you like)
• Salt and pepper to taste (I also like a dash of cumin)
• Just under ½ cup olive oil, added slowly until you reach your desired consistency
• Juice of 1 lemon
• ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
• A handful of fresh herbs (basil, lemon balm, oregano, parsley, whatever you have on hand!)
Blend and enjoy on pasta, sandwiches, grilled vegetables, eggs, or as a dip.

A little peek at what we’ve been up to this summer so far 🌱☀️

The fields are filling in and the harvest is just getting started. We’ve been planting, picking, weeding, cooking, and soaking up every minute of the season.

Lots of fresh produce, flowers, and farm-fresh goodness coming to the stand in the weeks ahead!
