12th of June.
Happy Independence Day, Pilipinas kong mahal! 🇵🇭❤️💙💛

“My Beloved Philippines,” a reminder of the love and pride we carry for our homeland no matter where life takes us. And Malaya. Matatag. Nagkakaisa. “Free. Resilient. United.” reflects the strength of the Filipino spirit through generations.

At Piknik Street, we’re more than a food pop-up. We strive to be a little Philippine alley away from home, a place where stories are shared, karaoke is sung, traditions are celebrated, and every dish brings people together.

To our Filipino community and everyone who joins our table, thank you for allowing us to share a taste of home and create moments of connection. Here’s to honoring our roots, celebrating our culture, and staying united wherever we are in the world.

🇵🇭 Happy Independence Day! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

June is a special month for Filipinos around the world as we celebrate Philippine Independence Day. 🇵🇭

Although we won’t be able to join this year’s local Philippine Independence Day celebrations with our fellow Filipinos in New Orleans due to prior commitments, we’ll still be proudly representing the Philippines through our pop-ups throughout the month.

We’re also honored to celebrate alongside our local communities at events that bring people together through culture, food, and fellowship. Whether it’s through our food, our culture, or simply sharing a piece of home, we’re grateful for every opportunity to showcase Filipino pride and connect with our neighbors.

“Kain Tayo” means let’s eat in Filipino, a simple phrase that reflects something deeply shared between Filipinos and the people of New Orleans: food is best enjoyed together.

Thank you to our Filipino and Asian communities for showing up, hanging out, and supporting Filipino & Asian local vendors by eating together and sharing the moment. We truly felt the spirit of bayanihan: community coming together through support, presence, and good food.

A special thank you to for concluding AAPI Month by bringing everyone together in celebration and community.

Thank you as well for supporting so you can proudly wear and represent the Filipino culture with pride. 🇵🇭

We’re so grateful to have met you all, and we can’t wait to see you around again ❤️

Thank you, , for making our first time such a meaningful experience and for organizing such a beautiful AAPI Heritage Month celebration ❤️

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat and waited in the long lines during peak hours. We truly appreciate every single one of you especially those who came back to personally tell us how much you loved our food 💛 Your kind words mean the world to us 💛

Congratulations to our fellow vendors and to the organizers for putting together a fantastic event. The temperatures were high, but the turnout and community spirit were even higher. Y’all showed up and made the night unforgettable!

We’re grateful to have been part of such a warm and welcoming community, and we can’t wait to be back. 🫶🇵🇭✨
