It is very difficult for all alcohol manufacturers today. It doesn't matter if you are small meadery, medium-size cidery, or large winery, people just aren't drinking as much as they used to. A lot of people depend on this industry to survive and to make ends meet. America produces a lot of good tasting alcohol. I wish people would truly support local manufacturers because if not, a lot of family-owned wineries, cideries, and meaderies will close in the future.

The rise and fall of pinot noir symbolizes the larger struggles of the wine industry as younger generations turn to other beverages.
