Reserve Grand Champion honors at the IBBA Texas Invitational belong to a female who means so much to all of us at TRIO!

Congratulations to our partners at JA Cattle Co. — Bo, Jennifer Ann and Andy Scasta of Bryan, Texas — and Marcos Castro of Ganadería El Duque of Campeche, Mexico, on TRIO's ED BO “Noor” 700N2 being named Reserve Grand Champion Female!

"Noor" is as special as they come and truly among the elite of the TRIO Red Brangus females. She is the daughter of the World Brangus Congress Grand Champion Bull and sire of champions, CEO 175C5, and out of the Ultrared TRIO donor female, TRIO's MGS Jabella 700J, a daughter of Cortez 175C6.
Our partnership in Noor began when she was offered and selected in the Sixth Edition of The MBJ & TRIO Power of the Brands sale in 2025, and what an incredible journey it has been. This latest accolade adds to an already impressive résumé, as “Noor" was also selected Reserve Grand Champion Female at the IBBA National Show in March and Reserve Grand Champion at Cattlemen's Congress in January.

Donors and champions are built on thoughtfully crafted genetics, a shared vision, and outstanding partnerships. We are grateful to stand alongside JA Cattle Co. and Ganaderia El Duque as “Noor” continues to represent the highest echelon of the Red Brangus breed.
Her future is just beginning, and we believe Noor's greatest accomplishments are still ahead.

The underlying motivation for "Power of the Brands" is twofold: first, to give our clients the opportunity to market and profit alongside us; second, to enable investors in genetics and cattle to achieve success at the highest level. The "Power of the Brands" has delivered these achievements in the pasture and the showring over the past six years.
We are thrilled to congratulate L Bar Cattle Co., Richard & Sarah Lockley, and their junior partner Raley Wied on their outstanding achievement of winning Grand Champion Female at the IBBA Texas Invitational with the exceptional Red Brangus heifer, L Bar Duchess 957M2!

This remarkable female represents the power of vision, genetics, and strategic breeding. L Bar Duchess 957M2 is the result of a flush purchased by the Lockleys at the “Power of the Brands” sale from the proven donor Sendero’s Duchess 957E3, owned by Sendero Brangus and TRIO Cattle & Genetics. Upon recommendation, the mating was made to TRIO’s FFF Huracan 101H3, a past IBBA Show Bull of the Year—a mating that has certainly proven its worth in the show ring and the L Bar pasture.
This victory is a testament to the Lockleys’ commitment to investing in elite genetics and to the collaborative spirit of the Red Brangus breed. We are proud to see this exciting female carrying on the legacy of her outstanding pedigree and look forward to watching her future accomplishments.

At MBJ & TRIO, showing cattle is about much more than winning banners. The show ring is a platform—a place to advance genetics, promote our breed, and inspire the next generation of breeders and cattlemen.
