Huge shout out to Callie Schubach for a class win in the ARB show with her Cross Canadian daughter “Firefly” at the Wharton County Youth Fair. Being out of a true half blood cow this one kept her on her toes at times, but she brought her to town in prime condition and had her on point in the ring! Good Job Callie!

We are excited to announce that the 2026 TJBBA Raffle Heifer is BB Miss Powerball 78N2, generously donated by Burns Brangus. She is an impressive UltraBlack Generation 2 female, sired by Suhn’s Powerball 919H41 and out of the tremendous BB Miss Mia 78F8 cow.

Over the years, the Burns family has played a pivotal role in the Texas Junior Brangus Breeders Association. Camille, Quinn, and Creed Burns are all active TJBBA members, while Taylor and Brooke Burns remain dedicated to raising the next generation of high-quality Brangus cattle.

💥Suhns Powerball 919H41💥

Powerball is a bull we selected from Suhn Cattle Company in the fall of 2021. We didnt have the intention that day of selecting an UIltrablack Bull but felt this high performing yearling checked too many boxes for us to pass him up, with his impressive phenotype and performance data which can be a hard combination to find!

Powerball posted an impressive 76lb birth weight, 864lb weaning weight, 1275lb yearling weight with scan data of 14.98 REA and a 5.21 IMF in the Vern Suhn herd.

From day one, this bull has never missed for us covering up to 50 cows/heifers in a season and staying as sound and in good flesh as you could ask one to do and we have never had to touch his feet.

Far too often in today’s purebred world we jump on and mass mate young unproven bulls, so it’s always nice to see one rise through the ranks from the pasture and do it honestly without a lot of promotion.

Semen is now available stored at Integrated Breeders Service.

We had a long, hot week at the Brangus Jr Nationals in Louisiana but wouldn’t trade it for anything. An amazing week in the ring with some great cattle and an even better time spent with our Brangus Family.

We finished up a long week in Houston with a class win in the ARB show with our Ultrablack heifer BB Rose 150M2. Rose is among the first calf crop from our UB1 bull from the Vern Suhn herd in Kansas, Suhns Powerball 919H41.
