In honor of World Cider Day 🍎 it only seems fitting to introduce our newest flavor of Bishop's Other Cider: Watermelon Salt! 🍉🧂 This is the very cider produced in our 100th tank that we celebrated last month 🎊 Those that weren’t able to join our Centennial Cider Celebration to taste it are in luck because we’re adding this epic flavor to BPF’s fall lineup 💯👌😋 And it gets even better... Watermelon Salt will also be available in cans so hard cider lovers get to stock up and enjoy our newest flavor all season long 🙌

And while we’re talking melons… it’s time for a ONE IN A MELON announcement 📣 For the first time ever BPF is opening in August and kicking off our 54th season with a 🍉 W A T E R M E L O N Festival! 🍉 Planting has already commenced and we are excited for our newest crop 🌱

It is with heavy hearts we share the farm lost our gentle giant, Spartacus, at the end of last year 🐴😥💔

Guests may recall Spartacus joined us back in 2022. Following his days as a working carriage horse, BPF was his retirement plan. He lived on the farm full time & always brought smiles to our farm-ily & guests. Spartacus was diagnosed with Cancer & it was aggressive. We don’t know exactly how old he was but we were told in his mid-20s which is a long, happy life for a horse of his size 🐴 It was a true pleasure having his calm demeanor around the farm & in WeeLand Petting Zoo during fall 🍁🎃 We will miss our docile, handsome boy, as will his roomie & bestie - Clementine. If you have any photos to remember Spartacus by we would love to see 🤍

Happy new year! 🎊 We still have a few remaining tour slots for Hamburger Farm 2026 🍔🐝 Elementary school teachers: we are looking at you‼️👀

In 2002 seeds for a hamburger were planted in Wheatland, CA 🌱 All these years later, crops needed to produce the perfect hamburger are still growing in one acre of land at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm. During our spring season these crops help educate children about the importance of California agriculture.

Your group’s spring field trip includes:
🐝 A ride to and from the Hamburger Farm arena on the BPF railroad
🐝 A 45-minute guided tour of different crops along with hands on activities
🐝 Learning about honey bees and their role in crop production; students even get a glimpse into a real bee hive!
🐝 Fresh off the grill burgers for a nutritious lunch
🐝 Play time in Coyote Mountain Mine, a trip to Weeland Petting Zoo and access to the farm’s signature play areas

✏️Teachers: if you have space in your spring curriculum to incorporate this field trip, we highly encourage considering it. HF tours provide a fun, educational, and hands on experience for kiddos to learn about where their food comes from 🍅🥒🍟
