🔥 A FIRST FOR KALETA’S KITCHEN! 🔥

This weekend we had the honor of catering our first wedding reception, and what a day it was!

After previously taking on two large cooks feeding about 150 members of the Army, we stepped it up again for our biggest cook yet — 160 guests.

And apparently Mother Nature wanted to see how badly we wanted it. Rain, wind and plenty of challenges throughout the day, but our crew kept the fires going, stuck to the plan and brought our A-game.

We served up St. Louis ribs, rib tips, pulled pork, smoked turkey and smoked reverse seared New York strip, along with the rest of the spread — and hearing the compliments from the bride, groom and their guests made every long hour of preparation worth it.

This one meant a lot to us. Catering our first wedding was a big step for Kaleta’s Kitchen, and seeing that buffet come together after everything the day threw at us was a pretty awesome feeling.

A huge thank you to Grace and Pete for trusting us with such an important part of their wedding day. It was truly an honor to cook for your family and friends.

And I couldn’t have done it without the people beside me. Thank you to my wife and our crew for all the work behind the scenes and for helping us pull this thing off.

160 guests. Five smoked meats. One very rainy wedding. And a whole lot of BBQ. 🔥

First wedding catering job is officially in the books.

It’s that time of year where we make our first appearance at the Wheaton all night, flea market. It will be at the DuPage County Fairground like usual from 3 PM to approximately 1 AM. Our brand ambassador Adam Kaleta will be there with us if weather permits. We look forward to seeing you!
