📢 ATTENTION MINFORD IGA CUSTOMERS
Over the last several days, we have seen an influx of new customers who have told us they are shopping with us because Minford IGA is either out of certain products or are closing.
We want to make one thing clear: we encourage everyone to continue supporting Minford IGA and shopping local for as long as they are able to remain open. We have spoke to a member of their staff, and from what we have been told, they are doing everything they can to stay open and continue serving their customers.
At the same time, we truly appreciate everyone who has recently chosen to shop with us for the products IGA is unable to provide at this time.
One thing that may help IGA customers is that we use the same primary grocery supplier, which means we have access to many of the same products you are accustomed to purchasing there for the most part. If there is a particular item you normally buy at Minford IGA and you cannot find it in our store, please let a member of management know and we will order it, we have already had a several request "that we got from Minford"
We are not a large corporate store where the answer is simply, “This is what we carry and we don't have it.” We listen to our customers, adjust to what our community needs, and bring in products people actually want to buy or look for. To all customers, never assume we don't carry it- we will try.
The decline of small, locally operated grocery stores across the country has made things increasingly difficult for stores like ours and Minford IGA to compete with the big corporate chains. That makes supporting local businesses more important than ever.
We have just enough stores owned locally in the Tristate by a local family Forth Foods, that we so far have not become victim to the crushing Monopoly of corporate grocery stores.
So please continue supporting Minford IGA for as long as they are there. But for anything they are unable to provide—and if the day eventually comes that they do close—we want their customers to know that you are welcome here.
We appreciate all of the new business we have received, and we will work hard to provide the same products you have been accustomed to buying at IGA whenever we can. We are excited for the Minford community to discover the we have the best chicken in the Tristate area, and Deemer’s Food Fair Deli provides hot and cold meals that people drive from all over to get.
Shop local. Support local. And if there’s something you need, just ask us... It's been a busy few days here and we thank all of our customers.
