IT’S TUESDAY! AND OUR LAST FARMERS MARKET OF THE YEAR! 🥲 Stop on down to support our vendors, grab up some goodies, and to pet some dogs! 🐶🐾 Vendors you can expect to see later are:

Whew.. what an incredible summer it has been with you all! ☀️ We’ve got our LAST farmer’s market coming up next week, and we just wanted to mention a few things:

The grand prize drawing will be held at this last market (the 25th) at 6pm on Facebook Live. The prize is a George Foreman Beyond Grill so be sure to get those Loyalty Cards turned in to us before we choose!

SNAP TOKENS and KIDS TOKENS: We *strongly* encourage you to use whatever tokens you have left for our last market! The SNAP Stretch Program is funded year by year so we’d hate for you to miss out on that benefit, plus it helps keep it going for markets to come when they are put back in rotation and used up.

Our last theme is Dog Days of Summer 🐶 We absolutely WANT you to bring your dogs for this one, and there’s even a dog costume contest! So dress to impress those fur babies and bring them down for endless scritches and a potential prize! 🥇 We have free water at the gazebo so feel free to bring any portable water bowls for your pets to keep them cool throughout the evening.

A little back story on “Dog Days of Summer”: The phrase is a reference to Sirius, the Dog Star. Because the star is so bright, ancient Romans believed it actually gave off heat and added to the Sun’s warmth, accounting for the long stretch of sultry weather. They referred to this time as diēs caniculārēs, or “dog days.” Dog days were once blamed for madness, fevers, and bad luck. Today, they are mostly a reason to nap in the shade. 😎🐶

To close out, we just wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH for being patient with us as we’ve got some new faces behind the scenes running things this year. We have been learning week by week how things work, and we wanna make sure we keep the market as entertaining and engaging as possible so not only you but our vendors want to return each year! We’ve loved being a part of this summer with you and are excited to get a head start on next year’s market ideas! See you soon! 💚

Good afternoon, folks! 👋 Our market is nearing the end, which means we are getting closer to giving away our Loyalty Program grand prize to one lucky person! This year’s gift is a George Foreman Beyond Grill! If you do not know about our Loyalty Program, here’s how it works:

Our loyalty cards are available at our information table as well as at each vendor booth. For every $5 spent, you will get your loyalty card initialed by the vendor. When the card is completely filled up with initials, you turn it in at our information table with your name and phone number on the back to be entered into the drawing and can then get a new card. Each completed card counts as one entry.

The drawing will be held at the market on August 25, at 6pm on Facebook Live so be sure to keep an eye out and see if you won!

Hi, friends! As of -right now- the stormy weather is showing to clear up around 4, so we are still planning on having the Farmer's Market. However, due to Garden Park being more of a swamp than a park at the moment, we will have any vendors who still plan on coming set up along Warwood Avenue. The kid's activities have unfortunately but understandably been cancelled as well as the recycling. All tokens will still be provided as usual.
