Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday and made it so special 💗 Thank you to the Mothboys and thank you to the Incredible hospitality from those who run the Folklife Center!! What a wonderful event 😊

A MESSAGE FROM MOTHBOY MIKE: “Thank you to everyone who came out to Vegetable Man Day 2026 yesterday. Y’all made it the biggest one we’ve had and I couldn’t be happier. It is insane to me in the best way that a strange and little known Cryptid encounter that happened back in 1968 can bring all different types of people together to a small city in West Virginia in 2026. The togetherness and the happiness I witnessed at the event made it a very special day for me. Thank you to the artist vendors, musicians, guest speakers, food trucks, and sponsors who really made this event shine. The amount of pure talent in and around the venue yesterday was unmatched. A very big thank you goes out to the staff at the Folklife Center for all of their tireless help with the event and being accommodating to any needs I had with throwing Vegetable Man Day. The people that work at the Folklife Center truly care about West Virginia and its stories and the work they do is inspiring to me. Lastly I just want to say that this will be the last Vegetable Man Day event held by me. I say this with complete happiness in my heart. Vegetable Man Day has been a part of my life for the last three years and I watched it bloom and finally grow into its final form at the Folklife Center yesterday. It was a beautiful day and it feels right to me just leaving it at that. The event I witnessed yesterday is what I have always wanted for Vegetable Man Day and this is how I’m choosing to end it and remember it. A sincere thank you to anyone who supported me and this event in its three years!”
