I'm so far behind on posting, but I did want to take a minute to share something as I'm working on cookie dough today.
The weather can affect your cookie dough and your icing. Higher humidity in the air will add extra moisture to your baked goods, so you may need to add a little extra flour to counter balance it. Also, the butter you use can affect how much your cookies spread during the baking process. The amount of fat content varies between brands! The larger your eggs, the more liquid. There are so many variants that factor in to your finished product.
So if you make cookies and they turn out fabulous, and you make them again following the exact same recipe and they're a complete disaster, just blame it on the weather! 😉
