Only two Liege pullets left - very stunning hens. These were my hold backs for last year, so you know they’re good! They’re practically twins, and have a lot going for them. 50% Belgian genetics (ED-E father). They would be an exceptional add to someone’s breeding program.

Breda hens (2 black, 1 blue, 1 splash)

Bruges pair (black gold), rooster shown. Very nice pair. Excellent brow on both.

I would prefer to only do pick up for these birds, but can ship two more as I only have two more boxes and do not want to have to order more.

Also, for the first time ever my birds are molting in the summer! They have never done this before, but all decided to this year. They are still laying, but sparingly.

I have made the difficult decision to cut down significantly on the number of birds I keep, to only the most essential for my breed preservation and improvement goals. As a result, the following changes will occur:

- I will no longer be raising Breda Fowl at all.
- I will close the website (date undetermined) and keep only the page.
- I will have smaller quantities of chicks available, and focus most on raising myself to improve my lines.
- I will have more juveniles and adults available, as I replace those in my own flock more often.
- I will soon have adults available of both Breda, Liege, and Bruges.

Please message me if you are interested in any adult birds. I am still sorting out exactly who will stay, but can work with you as I make those decisions if you’re interested. 

I appreciate the understanding, and look forward to continuing to serve and improve these breeds, just on a smaller scale.

An announcement!

I am going to be offering some Liege hatching eggs in lieu of chicks from mid July until late August. Weather in North Carolina is getting hotter, and I’m not comfortable sending young chicks during that time. There will still not be any waiting lists, and eggs will be paid, collected, and shipped a dozen at a time. I may have some Breda dozens as well first come first serve.

Reminder that Bruges hatching eggs are always available as well.

6 Liege chicks available! One of the blues is massive 😅 around 1/3 bigger than its hatch mates.

I haven’t been posting as many available because I’ve been holding back some for myself. That’s over now, so I’ll have more listings (including Breda!) later this month.
