Often, when I start brushing one of these guys, another of them sidles up (*inconspicuously*) and rests his chin on the back of the donkey I'm brushing-- I am convinced that this is a ploy, trying to make me think, "Ah, this is the donkey I'm brushing right now." And if I don't get the hint, then there is an array of other strategies, such as ostentatiously indicating an itch in a hard-to-reach place, leaning into me, and major neck-hugs (if I'm down at donkey level).
Just seconds before I managed to get this shot, Poquito was employing both of the latter approaches. and practically wrapping his right foreleg around my waist in addition. What characters they are.
