Well our barn looks like a campsite! Had to cover those gaps. Since we've been here we haven't had this much snow and didnt realized how much snow the barn had. Saw my little goaties in the morning and fixed the situation. Now they are warm and who cares how it looks. What matters is that they are warm and away from it!

Meet Sammy! šŸ¾
Sammy is the self-appointed protector of all living things.

We adopted him from the Jefferson County Humane Society, where he had spent his entire life in a kennel. The moment we saw him, we fell in love and our hearts broke for what heā€™d been through.

When Sammy first came home, everything was new and scary. He was afraid of doors, had no idea where to go potty (even ate where he went), and didnā€™t know a single command. It was truly a clean slate.

Fast forward to today, and this little guy has learned so much. Heā€™s a mixed bassetā€”short, stocky, and full of personality. And without a single ounce of training, he assigned himself a very important job: guardian of the chickens.

Anytime the chickens sound the alarm, Sammy is on duty sanning the sky and the surroundings, watching for aerial predators like itā€™s his full-time job.

Turns out, he didnā€™t just find a homeā€¦ he found his purpose. šŸ’›
