We started a little countdown on September 1st, as we make our way to my daughter’s golden 16th Birthday! It is surreal to me that the tiny, little baby who has inspired some of my most niche cookie themes is now an amazingly outstanding young woman that I could only dream to be like. Here’s to my Birthday Girl as we count down to her 16th on the 16th!

My youngest graduated from elementary school today, and it was hard to reconcile that this was the last batch of cookies I’ll be making for a school community that we’ve been a part of since 2015. We will never forget the amazing friends (especially those who have become family), teachers, faculty, and staff we’ve met along the way. Ridgeway, thank you for everything. We’re off to middle school!

Did you know that Jonathan Larson, the amazing talent who wrote Rent, graduated from White Plains High School? In honor of the 30th anniversary of Rent, and to honor the life of this incredible visionary, WPHS Theatre Unlimited will be performing a Cabaret featuring the music of Jonathan Larson this weekend! You can find House of Gioia at the concession stand while supplies last. Please come out and support the insanely talented cast. (I’ve seen sneak peeks; they are BEYOND fantastic)! Hope to see you there 🥰
