From little bottle babies to my little grass babies. This is our second round of baby steers that we have to wean from a bottle and transition to grass. Soon our heifer cows will give birth and do this for us but this works too. We source baby steers/heifers from our local respected dairy farms. They can’t keep every cow born on the farm if their business is milk. We help them by buying them and raising them with our regenerative practices. And yes I recognize that milk replacer is not regenerative, however this is a stepping stone to where we’re trying to go which is having our very own milking cows. First generation farming can be like that, everything seems like a stepping stone.

We are in total awe of our community! From our collective of growers and producers to the ones that eat it all! A very special time in not only my family or farm but our local food movement! It’s a privilege to host 130 guests on our historic farm. For us, to cook and serve you is so special for us. Just as you like to know your farmer, it’s just as romantic for us to know who we’re serving. Gives it a bit more purpose. Thank you for everyone’s support for coming and donating. Especially our families and Em The Musterman Family Kate Lazarov Sydney Madison Daniel Adams
