Well, I've been watering the garden lately and there wasn't much popping. We got a good rain last night along with a few misty showers today and it looks like mother nature had miracle grow in her rain! 😆 I swear I think the peas have doubled in size since yesterday! 🫛

A few of the radishes were starting to break through when I checked them last night, but today, here they are! 🤣 I've got French breakfast, daikon, akasuji, and watermelon radishes so far. Thinking about trying a few more different ones since the weather is still kind of cool.

I think I'm too late to get carrots started, but ya know what, I think I'm gonna try tomorrow! 😁👍 🥕

I was not expecting this while getting ready to do the morning garden till! 🤣 I had forgot that Greenbrier Valley Airport - LWB had posted the military was doing training this week so it was a pretty cool surprise!

We usually see the planes doing the low flying training in our area, but rarely the helicopters. How flipping cool is this???!!! Anyone else see them??

I'm the type that wants to go out and wave at them, but doubt they'd see me! 😆 🤣 Fingers crossed they fly by again! 🚁 🚁 🇺🇸

Wasn't expecting to hear these guys this early! The whippoorwills are back!!!! If you listen close when the louder one stops, there's two others in the distance calling back. Can kind of even hear the peepers! I love it!!!

It's that time of year again and I'm so excited! The trees and flowers are starting to bloom, the bees are buzzing, you can hang laundry on the line again, and we got our first hummingbird of the year!!! She was a little too quick for me to get a picture of so here's one of the flowers on the trees this evening. 😆

The next several days will be filled with more garden clean up and tilling to get ready for more planting and some jelly making. Flavors coming soon! Hoping to make enough to actually sell this year. 😉 👍

Beautiful day to do garden clean up and get some tilling done. Got a few rows done the day before yesterday, but hoping to knock out a good bit today.

I know I'm a little behind on getting my peas in the ground, but they're going in Wednesday since it looks like we're getting a few days of rain starting on Thursday. 🫛 Several different varieties I want to try so we'll see which ones do best and which ones we like. May even get some on the farm stand this year! If we get it built soon enough... 🤣

Guess who will be making a lot of zucchini bread and yellow squash muffins! 😆 Wouldn't have it any other way! 😋

The garden is definitely giving this year! Did a quick harvest just because the mosquitoes were eating me up! 😆 I've got zucchini, yellow squash, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers in my bowl here, but I've got several other types of beans, tomatoes, and a few kinds of peppers and more about ready to go. Is it bad that I'm already planning on what else I want to try to grow next year??? 😆 🤣 😂

Well, after a few weeks without my phone, I've got a new one and can finally start bugging y'all with garden pics again! 😆 The beans are finally starting to pop and we finally got our first zucchini! Many more to come, I'm sure. 🤣

I'm hoping to get our garden stand built and up this year, but with as busy as things have been around here it might have to wait until next year. If we start to have an over abundance of anything, I'll be sure to post here first and see if anyone is interested. 😁👍
