Daisy sure has filled out since we acquired her. Lots of senior feed, cob, unbeetable and nice alfalfa / grass mix hay has done her a lot of good.

Definitely thought she was about to pop out a foal here in October. However, after deworming, more nutrients and some TLC it looks like she had a foal pulled off of her before arriving at BLS and is bred for a spring foal.

Currently we are working on making her more comfortable as she has an abscess in her front right hoof.

She is available, and will be looking for new pastures in the coming future.

Snuggle puddle on the bed. Stewart is the best daddy, giving Gizmo some snuggles.

Got a pony in that keeps dislocating his pastern so I fashioned a PVC pipe splint for it. Hopefully this helps heal him up in the next few months. Just stall rest and plenty of TLC for this guy.

Turtle
15hh 2022 grade Appaloosa Gelding

Just started to halter break, desensitize and over all ground work training.

This guy has a kind eye, willing demeanor and looks for that release by figuring out what you're asking him to do.

Easy to catch, trim, tie, deworm, load in and out of the trailer, leads decently.

So glad this little guy is doing better. He kinda had a rough start. When Sue was born his eyes watered a lot and he got straw and gunk in them that caused his eyes to be scratched. The next day he had diarrhea. So we got those problems all fixed up and he was doing really well. Then at two weeks old he pierced his lip with a gate chain hook and tore up the side of his jaw and did a lot of damage. So we got that stitched up.

Two weeks later and he is doing much better. Jackie and Sue are definitely ready to be out of the stall and pack in the big pen with the other minis. One more week till they will be out of the stall and Sue will be tearing it up with the other foal.

And then there was 3 😍.

The smallest male of our second litter found an amazing home with an elderly retired couple. He is going to be so loved and just spoiled rotten.

My favorite part of raising animals is finding their forever home and seeing their humans eyes light up when they get them.
