Heritage Berry Farm Heritage Berry Farm located on our family farm in continuous operation since 1862. Our mission is to provide a location of U-pick healthy fresh berries.

We will be offering Red, Yellow
and Black Raspberries plus Elderberries beginning summer of 2024.

Update on berries at Heritage Berry Farm

Our berries are not doing as well as they had the past 2 seasons.

We cut the canes to the ground each year and the berries fruit one one year canes that come up each spring.

The cold and late frost we had in the spring harmed the new growth and the berries had restart new shoots.

We have berries that are just developing.

With the late start and summer heat stress the berries are not as good.

At this time, we are watching the development but it looks like another 2 weeks before the berries start to ripen.

This is our 3 season, and we are still learning as we go.

Thank you to everyone asking when the berries will be ready. We are sorry things are not as good as last year.

Hello Berry Friends!

We want to update you on how our berries are doing this summer.

Black Raspberries - the cold spring/late frost has affect the plants and they are not doing as well as we would like. We are just starting to see some berries ripen. We have already received some pre-picked orders which we need to fill.

We are keeping a close eye on the black raspberries to see if we will open up U-Pick. We will check the berries daily and keep the page updated.

Red and Yellow Raspberries - our method of growing is to do Primocane, which is cutting the canes completely down each season. Our berries produce fruit on current year canes in the late summer/fall.
We will keep you posted as we get closer to those varieties being ready.
