just an update, earlier this year we sold a Tibetan Mastiff puppy (Abraham) to one Hannah Lucidi of Jasper GA. We do not know the whereabouts of our dog, have not been given any proof of life, have been slandered, called crazy, liars, backyard breeders, and more. Here is another testament to her character.

All we wanted to do was speak to the new owners, know that Abraham is okay, and now she is pushing some agenda that she “trained” our “unsocialized and aggressive” … LOOK FAMILIAR?!?!

BE WARY OF Hannah Lucidi, Lucidi Farms, Lucidi Riding Academy, and especially of her creepy “farm days for children.”

It is with a heavy heart and complete exhaustion that I am announcing I will no longer be breeding dogs.

The weight of breeding over the last three litters; the endless drama, the entitlement, and the sheer anxiety of dealing with buyers, has completely taken the joy and passion out of it for me. I’ve lost my interest entirely.

My lowest point came when one of our dogs recently went missing from someone I entrusted with his life. It brought to mind the parable of the Good Shepherd, who leaves his ninety-nine sheep to seek out the one that is lost. I felt like that desperate shepherd, scouring the wilderness, losing sleep, and paralyzed by worry.

Because that dog is still not confirmed alive, the weight of this situation is unbearable. I simply cannot live with this constant anxiety anymore. These past few litters have broken me.

While I am closing this chapter for good to focus on my own peace of mind, my responsibility to the puppies we brought into this world does not end. I remain a lifetime resource for every single puppy from our three litters. I will always be here to support my dogs and their families, no matter what.

If any of our puppy families need to reach out, you can contact me directly at Jessie Helmsmasher or Spencer on our personal pages, or use the phone numbers you already have for us.

Thank you to those who have truly supported us through this. -Jessie

farm reality check:

not every farm dog sleeps in the house.

livestock guardian dogs were bred to live with the animals they protect. they patrol all night, make their own decisions, and their job is to stay with the herd.

for many of them, being locked inside would actually make them miserable.

curious what people think about this.
should working dogs live with livestock or inside with people?
