Please enjoy this peaceful photo of the bank of our pond in summer to calm your nerves for the unfortunate news I'm about to deliver.
Compost.
Y'all. Today I was going to be launching a series of posts announcing compost pickup information for the spring. When I tell you I had informational posts, funny posts, blogs posts all stored in my head ready to roll from brain-to-keyboard where I convinced you how great our compost is and that you should come buy it.
But it turns out, our compost doesn't need me and my words. *le sigh* it speaks for itself so well that we've had people—rolling up, loading up and paying up—with up their dump trucks, trailers, and truck beds nonstop the past couple of weeks. Before either Daniel or I could mutter a public word of "compost for sale"
Which led to the call I received yesterday from my husband when he informed me the combination of an eager farmhand loading up the trailer and our friends at Redeemed Heritage Farm going full send on our compost, we're down to the absolute bottom of the barrel. So low, my own garden is getting a little nervous, wondering if it will be once again receiving that sweet sweet chicken compost nectar.
So, tl;dr, what I'm saying is, we're currently at a pause on compost sales. Hang tight.
Holster your torches and pitchforks though because while we may not have compost, I do have two other exciting announcements coming this week. Stay tuned. 👀
