Did you know we ship? Probably not, because I haven’t talked about it near as much as I should.

This week we had a box of classic cuts go to Georgia and a box with a wide selection of beef go to a family in southern Louisiana.

In two weeks when I ship again, as of now, I have boxes lined up to go to Montana, North Dakota and Georgia.

These are all part of the monthly subscription program with our shipping partner — Range Market.

We’ve been with Range Market since it was founded in 2021 and it has been such a blessing to our business, particularly in those beginning years when local business was slow.

Soon, you’ll be able to sign up for a shipped monthly subscription directly through our website. 🤞🏼

I’ll post here when it’s live, but if you’re interested in being notified send us a message and I’ll get you on the list.

When the grading sheets from the processor slide in my email with “prime” next to our cattle ID numbers.

Daniel received a text with a whole lot of all caps and emojis. 😂 atta boy, babe.

The post y’all have been waiting for, we’ll officially be back with *clears throat* prime grade dry age beef Saturday, May 16th at The Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market.

Until then you’ll find Daniel taking 1.2 million photos of this round of steaks.

See y’all in a couple of weeks!

BRB while I go cry my eyes out of these two holding hands while at the processor this morning.

It's been a minute, or a few months, since we've had ground beef in stock but the restock is near. Daniel and his two sidekicks hauled four off this morning to get us started for The Owensboro Regional Farmers' Market season.

If you've been here a few years this means it's time for our annual clear out the freezer sale. This sale ONLY goes out to our email list subscribers so if you aren't there, here is the link: https://haydenfarms.myflodesk.com/v7y1edaaef

I'll be updating our website inventory to reflect everything currently in the freezer this week with the sale email arriving in your inbox by Saturday.

"I chicken! Ribbit, Ribbit!" -Aurora Hayden, 1 year 364 days old.

She can count to 10, but we've got some work to do on animal sounds. 😅

My two-year-old (tomorrow 😭) can't hear the word p**p without slapping an "A LOT" at the end of it.

If you didn't know chickens p**p ...A LOT. How something so small can produce so much p**p is honestly something of a wonder—I'm talking about both of them, but for the sake of this post, the chickens are the main subject. 😉

In the past we've only sold our chicken litter by the semi load. This year, we're extending the removal of our version of black gold beyond your local row crop farmers and onto the five gallon bucket and truck bed crew.

So, what can I say except, You're welcome.

Message us here to schedule a pickup beginning Monday, April 6th. Tractor Scoops are $45, 5 gallon buckets are $6 a bucket, must bring your own bucket.

Your best garden season awaits you! 🐤💩🌱

Compost.

Y'all. Today I was going to be launching a series of posts announcing compost pickup information for the spring. When I tell you I had informational posts, funny posts, blogs posts all stored in my head ready to roll from brain-to-keyboard where I convinced you how great our compost is and that you should come buy it.

But it turns out, our compost doesn't need me and my words. *le sigh* it speaks for itself so well that we've had people—rolling up, loading up and paying up—with up their dump trucks, trailers, and truck beds nonstop the past couple of weeks. Before either Daniel or I could mutter a public word of "compost for sale"

Which led to the call I received yesterday from my husband when he informed me the combination of an eager farmhand loading up the trailer and our friends at Redeemed Heritage Farm going full send on our compost, we're down to the absolute bottom of the barrel. So low, my own garden is getting a little nervous, wondering if it will be once again receiving that sweet sweet chicken compost nectar.

So, tl;dr, what I'm saying is, we're currently at a pause on compost sales. Hang tight.

Holster your torches and pitchforks though because while we may not have compost, I do have two other exciting announcements coming this week. Stay tuned. 👀

You know, I could be wrong, but I'd bet this is the first time they've ever had a turtle and someone wearing sparkly light up boots pick up fertilizer before.
