UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!

We have a problem. Ruby, the bottle-baby, born on New Year's Day, appears to be severely vision impaired. In full daylight, she does follow movement, but that's as good as it gets.

We've kept goats for the better part of 35 years. This is a first and I'm not quite sure how to proceed. Ruby doesn't have any underlying medical conditions and no infection. She was rejected at birth. I'm not sure if being chilled after birth resulted in vision impairment (unlikely since we've had other chilled babies) or if this is congenital.

Regardless of the cause, I'm looking for ideas on how to proceed. All my research leads me to one grim conclusion. I'm open to suggestions.

Opal and Ruby, sisters from a neglectful mama. Probably our last bottle babies for a while. Oh so adorable

Thank heavens Spook held off going into labor until after that brutal cold snap last week. She is huge, has a history of quintuplets and she just got started with this one. Wonder how many she's got tucked away in there?

This beautiful Great Pyrenees is in need of a herd to guard, muddy puddles to play in and leaves to bark at. This good boi is intact and currently belongs to our neighbor on Red Hill Road. If interested, there is a small rehoming fee you'll need to discuss with the owners. PM for more info.
