Henry Creek Farms Henry Creek Farms is a family owned and operated farm in south central Kansas. Beef cattle are also raised on the farm.

In addition to the 1200 sow farrow to finish pig farm, Henry Creek Farms grows corn, soybeans and wheat.

We have a job opening for a Feed Mill Operator and Feed Delivery Driver

Henry Creek Farms, Inc., a progressive and family-owned livestock operation located near Whitewater, Kansas, is seeking a person to join our livestock production team. This is a team-oriented position with a great work environment.
Excellent candidate qualities:
• Fast learning and teachable
• Easily adaptable to change and motivated
• Able to work independently
• Love working with animals
• Process oriented
Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Feed Mixing – using Easy Automation feed mixing and batching system
• Feed Delivery – Deliver feed to hog barns using a bulk auger delivery truck
• Tracking feed inventory
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Animal Care - feeding, working with pigs
• Some weekend work (every 3rd weekend, but can vary)
Compensation:
• Competitive Salary and bonus, Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays.
• Driver’s License and Reliable transportation required.
• Additional compensation for a CDL.

At 30 days old, these piglets have made the transition from their mothers milk to a solid diet. In the next 5 weeks they will gain nearly a pound of body weight each day.

Approximately 115 days from breeding day these girls will have babies. We use artificial insemination because it is a very useful tool to introduce superior genes into our sow herd, with minimal risk for disease transmission. Fresh diluted semen (3 billion spermatozoa in 80-100 ml)per dose, is used two to three times on each female at breeding. The boar semen is delivered to the farm 3 times a week from a boar stud in North Central Kansas.
