We are moving some wood today. Third and final trailer load of hardwood and pine, left this morning. This afternoon, first load of probably three loads of Ash left. Feeling pretty accomplished and grateful to Cersisimo lumber and Ames true temper for taking the wood. Thank you Carrol Havreluk and Mike Tatro of Tatro Trucking for moving our wood! 🪓🪓🪓

Ash logs, firewood pile, and some mixed hardwood and pine. Had a fun time logging this winter, could have skipped some of the breakdowns though.

Well that is a wrap for the 2024 haying season. Thank you to Marty Sprague for the use of a couple of fields for second cutting. Thank you to Antonio and Faith for their work on the hay wagons this season. Thank you to my father Steve who did almost all the raking of the hay! Thank you to my other helpers who worked when I needed them most. It was a fun year making hay, the weather cooperated and the equipment worked well.

Spent the weekend on the tractor making cow chow!! This is the earliest we have ever started filling the silo. Long range forecast didn't look awesome, so trying to get the silo filled before the rains come! Should be awesome food for the cows this winter.

Maple Hill Farm 2024 sugaring season is in the books. Took the 754 buckets down yesterday, all washed up today! Boiled in the last of the sap and the color of the syrup was going away. Finished the season with 226 gallons.

Happy Easter everyone. We are going to be blessed today with sap to boil at the sugarhouse. If you're looking for something to do after a big Easter meal come and look us up at the sugarhouse. Would love to see you. If you don't feel like cooking you can eat lunch with us. We should have plenty. Thank the Lord!

Just had one of those awesome kind of days. Already a top 10 day for 2024. Bonfire with the parents, and the newly married apprentice couple Antonio and Faith, lunch and dinner beside our little campfire. What a day!
