Howdy Folks!
Spring is upon us and with that we have lots of eggs available! $4 a dozen. We are located at the corner of Nollar and 5 Mile in Whitmore Lake, right off of 23. Good Afternoon! We have 3 pastured raised turkeys left available for purchase. They are going to butcher on the 18th - perfect timing for a farm fresh turkey for Thanksgiving! They are $3 a pound and we expect them to finish in the mid 20 pound range. Message or text me (734-660-3290) to reserve your turkey!

Happy Wednesday! Little farm update: Our first batch of chickens that hatched have moved in with all of our other chickens, our second batch of chicks moved out to the chicken coop, and the third batch was just loaded into the incubator. I've started some of our seeds and am excited to watch them flourish this year. The hens are laying well again and we are gearing up for the crazy spring/summer season.

Farm Fact Friday

The chicks that hatched 2.5 weeks ago are growing quickly! Their feathers are coming in nicely and they are very very active all the time. The chicks are still in the house but as soon as they have all their feathers they will be able to regulate their temperatures well and will be able to be moved to the coop outside with a heat lamp until it gets warm outside. Stay tuned for more!

I've gotten a lot of questions regarding my prices this year so here they are:

Eggs: $3 a dozen

Sourdough:
Traditional Loaf: $8
Inclusions: $10 cheddar, cheddar jalapeño, cinnamon swirl, ask if you have another idea!
Sandwich Loaf: $6
Bagels: $1 per bagel, $6 half dozen, $12 dozen
Toppings can include: everything seasoning, cheddar, garlic cheddar, cheddar jalapeño, or any combination of your choosing
Chocolate Chip Cookies: $6 per dozen

Our chicks hatched on Monday! We are so excited that everything went smoothly and we have five new additions to the farm. I was able to catch one hatching on video and have attached a very shortened version of it. The whole process from the beginning of the video to the end took about 15 minutes. New life on the farm is always exciting but even more so when they are homegrown.

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and is having a great start to 2025. One of our goals this year is to be more active on this page. So with that being said, let's start with a Farm Fact Friday!

For Christmas we got an incubator to allow us to hatch our own chickens. We are currently on day 12 of them being in the incubator. The chicks will typically start to hatch around day 20. A couple of days ago we candled them to see how they were growing, and they all their growth looked good. We are super excited to see how this process works for us. Stay tuned for more!

Farm Fact Friday

Fall is officially here and the time has come to put up the garden for the winter. This means taking down all the trellises, fencing, cutting down the corn, and turning over the dirt to prepare for spring. We are thankful for the great season and harvest that we had this past summer. More to come.

Happy Sunday everyone! I have lots of eggs available. All of our new chickens from this year have started laying in the past two months. Because of this we have an excess of small eggs. What zone you live in can help you determine when would be a good time to start your garden each year. It is important for the survival of the plants that the temperatures stay above freezing at night.
