Raindance Farm Flowers

Raindance Farm Flowers Specialty cut flowers • Sharing beauty & farm stories • Southeast Michigan Wishing you a peaceful season ahead, centered on who and what you love.

We aim to cultivate joy and community while growing fresh flowers for metro Detroit as sustainably as we know how. We grow blooms for city farmers markets, blooms for florists, blooms for our rural farmstand, blooms for designers, and an abundant field of gorgeous flowers for you-pick. Raindance Farm is a woman-owned, family-run flower farm that is inclusive, solar-powered, pollinator-friendly, fa

ir-wage paying, and in love with the beauty & resilience of nature. We know this land, water, and air is the inheritance of the next generation of young Michiganders, who are growing up in a world on fire. We believe the choices we make to farm sustainably and gently on a small percentage of our stewarded acres can be our tiny contribution of good. The best way to hear about you-pick season, farm events, and bloom availability is to sign up for our newsletter. Kristen at Raindance Farm

The summer annual field is growing on so quickly! I am astonished.

We spotted a very eager zinnia yesterday and ageratum today. I just pinched the field marigolds and their first buds had already appeared. It’s only June 8th!

Wishing you a week of all the sunshine we were missing over that long, cloudy winter. May you find a little beauty, a moment of rest, a cool swim, or a walk in the woods. What a gift to be alive this summer.

We are so excited to be at both Eastern Market and Ann Arbor Farmers Market tomorrow! It is peony season! And sweet pea season! And vibrant lilies and fluffy Chantilly snaps! And bellflower and scoop scabiosa and bupleurum and sunflowers! If you look hard enough, you might find a bouquet with a dahlia in it!

All of us at Raindance are so grateful to be working together, growing these flowers for you all. Thank you for loving local and shopping small at farmers markets! Our hearts are full. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Raindance Farm is hitting the road and heading to this Saturday, June 6th! Our largest coolers are overflowing this week with June abundance— peonies, sweet peas, bellflower, snapdragons, scoop scabiosa, lilies, bupleurum, and even our first dahlias— and we feel like we might actually be ready for the big leagues… big city… big crowds. My, oh my. Let’s go!

One tiny week bridging May to June with this messy, wild crew on this land we love to tend.

Nominate a local high school graduate!

Graduation is a huge milestone, and we’d love to help three local graduates celebrate in bloom.

We’re giving away 3 Party Buckets of Blooms from Raindance Farm Flowers—each one overflowing with fresh-cut flowers for graduation parties, family celebrations, photos, or simply brightening a graduate’s special week.

To nominate a graduate:

We know every graduate has a story. Maybe they worked hard through challenges, showed kindness to others, balanced school with a job, cared for family members, pursued a dream, or simply persevered through a difficult season. We would love to hear about them.

On Thursday, June 4th at 10pm, we’ll randomly select three graduates to receive a Party Bucket of Blooms for their celebration.

Winners must be able to pick up their flowers at Raindance Farm Flowers in Whitmore Lake. Winners will receive a coupon code for 100% off of a Bucket of Blooms so they can order for any pickup date and color palette they choose.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! We are cheering you on as you begin your next adventure. 🌼

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram.

This is our first giveaway, and though it feels gimmicky to me, we are a small family farm sharing locally grown blooms. We are trying to find ways to meet more flower-loving folks in our community, and in this big internet universe we appreciate all the small business love. ❤️

This week has seen a cascade of the first summer flowers… peonies, sunflowers, campanula, snapdragons, scabiosa, bupleurum, foxglove, barley.

Gorgeous bouquets at Argus Farm Stop, Agricole Farm Stop, and Harvest Market Ann Arbor every day! And the Ann Arbor Farmer’s Market on Saturdays 7-3.

We are thinking of slinging blooms at the Wednesday Kerrytown market this summer too (let us know if you would come visit… we are on the fence).

We are currently producing more blooms on the farm than we can keep up with— a great problem to have as a farmer!

One of our bouquet subscribers wrote me this week about drinking from champagne from these bellflower. If that is not a celebration, I don’t know what is.

My childhood best friend will make her annual pilgrimage to our farm this Saturday with her sweet family. I think I need to freeze campanula flowers before their arrival.

Can you imagine serving children juice in tiny frozen flower mugs? What magic. What wonder. What a life.

This while people are suffering and other people are lying and the national parks are desecrated by drilling. 10,000 sorrows and 10,000 joys.

Children. Flowers. Sunset. Sunrise.

My 14-year-old daughter— the one who teaches me about myself most often— started her first job this morning.

There is a kind-hearted, gentle executive chef in our local food community who offered to take my girl under her wing and show her magic in the kitchen.

I dropped Abby off at the restaurant at 7am and followed my delivery route to Agricole, then Argus, then Harvest Market.

All the while, an amazing soul was pouring kindness and a whole culinary education into my kid in a real commercial kitchen. Can you believe the generosity?

Wishing you all the best weekend! Thank you for loving these flowers so much, and for the support you show our little family week in and week out. We love hearing all of the ways these little flower fireworks are making their brief joy-splash in your skies. ❤️
