Tested water in lower Alamance County yesterday in the Snow Camp area and it was some of the worst we have seen! 193 parts per million of total dissolved solids, iron above 7.5 and an acidic PH of 6.4-6.6. This along with a hardness of 7-8 grains per gallon created a very nasty water situation. The water smelled like a pond and was very corrosive. It was etching the porcelain in sink, tubs, and toilets. All the appliances had hard water stains that were very difficult to remove. Completed a water system installation in Haw River over the weekend for a family with hard water stains in their home. Finished up an install today with our friends at Cornerstone Conference Center in Greensboro! We have worked on many of their buildings over the past few years and today we installed a water system in their mini hotel for overnight conference guests. We utilized a Westinghouse Iron Boss unit to remove the iron in the water and regulate the pH. We also installed a softener to remove all the hardness ions. The results were dramatic! Completed a project in Burlington last week for a local home owner with hard water stains in their bathrooms, pots and pans, and dishwasher.
