When you combine two of the most useful horses on the place, you get a cross that is hard to beat. This will be the first foal from Carlas Champinones offered to the public, so be on the lookout for him!
Our ranch stallion, Cisco Mr Trouble, continues to outproduce himself with every foal crop while proving his worth as a using horse. Last fall, just days after coming out of the breeding pasture, he competed in two ranch rodeo finals without issue despite being surrounded by mares. His good bone, natural cow sense, trainability, and eye appeal have made him an asset to our program and a sire whose offspring continue to attract attention.
Carlas Champinones has been one of the grittiest mares we've ever had in our saddle string. Short, powerful, and quick-footed, she's the kind that can go all day and still have plenty left in the tank. Since Naccona purchased her, Mo has been a go-to horse at the sale barn, spending countless hours traveling the alleys in Glendive. After taking a couple of years off to raise foals, she came back stronger than ever—entering a show, learning to carry flags, and serving as a ranch rodeo horse for a summer. She's proven she can do just about anything asked of her while consistently producing quality offspring. Her first foal, a filly sired by A DoubleShot of Jack, has proven to be gentle, trainable, and blessed with an exceptionally sweet disposition. Her next foal, by Cisco Mr Trouble, inherited the same calm, willing temperament. Dillon liked him so much he purchased him and is already putting him to work as a ranch horse.
These foals are athletic, user-friendly, and possess the versatility to excel in whatever direction they're taken. Both of Kid's older siblings have shown varying degrees of graying as they've matured, and with his sire also displaying rabicano characteristics, there's a good chance he'll continue adding more white hairs as he ages.
