FyI the reason there been so much movement under the Maple bridge the city made them move too I been told...
Where are our people supposed to go city leaders???...You say shelter people with multiple animals can't are people who are already banned from the shelter.... People who can't cope being in there are afraid be in there around people who have threatened them ..Some of the answers I got about our shelter..
We got to do better it's almost winter ..

Checking in on some of our other camps that are not down South ..Have a couple older folks who have been outside for a long time making sure to get them set up for winter coming...One good thing about our folks who keep small spots and only keep bare basic they know exactly what is needed to get them through the cold .Don't have to worry as much about them cause you know they are very aware of what they need to do ..
Please don't think for a second that our folks do know where the shelter is at and know their resources..Don't judge and there reason and push on ...But trust me will be out there all winter reminding folks were they can go offering rides ECT just like we have done for years ..
Since there so many people out here that are new ...Here a list of things I do to make sure a camp is ready been doing this lot years and have spent a lot time in the cold ..No way in a tent ever going to be very warm it's about surviving..
Good sleeping bag but also a good wool blanket wool socks wool cloths ..Cloths they can layer in is important...extra blankets and getting your tent as insulated as you can and getting up off the ground ..
Wool is expensive but it's a game changer it don't catch fire as easy it drys out quickly and it's warm...

Let's talk about some truth since I have read so many lies online since it's all gone and I will talk about it ...Our folks shacks were not stuff that they stole they were made for them by donation from people who care ..Reading accusing people of stealing smh ...We had folks making heaters too..
That little area was a safe spot for our folks to try to make it through winter...If you wanted folks gone could at the very least wait till the spring...
We got beds for them at the shelter bull crap ..Most everyone has multiple animals where are they going ???...Our leaders knew that ....Not all our folks qualify for housing..And the one with vouchers have been waiting months ...We failed our folks it's not right are fair...I know not all our folks are good we got bad apples but not all should have to suffer because of that ...

As our City leaders make decisions that cost our city thousands of dollars and display people with no homes that were living in a little area of land by the highway...I will never understand who thought it was a great Ideal...How they could close their eyes at night and go to bed ok with it..The storm and the rain made me sick and worried about our folks ..
As we pulled up today our community had stepped up every person we saw Got hot Sam's pizza a big bag of food and water ...Got tarps blankets rope scissors socks had some rain boots we had Pancho's umbrellas...We have an amazing community...Seeing wet cold folks and knowing that we help today is a blessing and a privilege to be able to do...Thank you all so proud of our village...

We work in our building today .. Making a little process...Still got a long way to go ...Got my van loaded down with supplies for tomorrow...
On my way home of course I have to do a drive thru and you know I got stop and surround đŸ˜‚...Love my folks ...Thank you to our friends who have dropped off tarps at the building....Much appreciated..

Got a call late last night from one of our folks there tent went down and water was coming in...Was able to put them in a room ...Went crack down this morning and got a few tarps at Walmart and got a few people covered....Still need more tarps can drop off at 1205 North Indiana there a deck box on the porch between the church and rectory
Please don't message me if you need a room..
I don't have the funds for that this was an emergency..

Started off today at the park...We went through our shoes and passed on a ton of them today...Along with some snacks we have a list of things that are wanted and needed for some of our campers in area ...They know we try our best to help ..
Tuesday at the Park years ago use to be called breakfast with Bob ...Bob Johnson started it he was an amazing advocate for our folks He passed away a few years ago ...They kept it going all this time it has grown into a big amazing thing ...There used to be only 3 of them plus me running people down ECT serving 15 was a good day and really only seen the folks under the bridges there plus there just wasn't as many folks homeless then ...Our homeless population has grown astronomical in the last few years especially during the epidemic...Till now they feed over a hundred every Tuesday and Thursday Have a boat load of volunteers who do an amazing job every week....Giving you all some history..
We will be working in our building tomorrow and getting stuff ready for Thursday....

Got a message this morning for help...Me and the granddaughter went to the camps to help some folks out to move a few things ...Passed out some snacks while we were there ...
Some of our special folks are concerned and confused about moving cause they have had so many folks and news crew down there taking pictures telling people there protesting and going to stop it...So some are uncertain about moving..Are going to lose their stuff ..These are people who have never been down there and help our folks out wanting to get on social media and get attention...
Not going to stop nothing ....If you're not down there getting people to a safe spot then don't go stay away...
Our folks are really going to need tarps...
