Opening Day is 9 days away.

We open October 3rd. If you're seeing this, someone already knows you don't have to leave Stone County for a pumpkin patch adventure this fall.

My mom pieced and stitched this quilt by hand for my little boy Jace when he was a baby. The pattern is called Grandmother's Garden.

We lost her last December, and we decided to put her quilt in the field this year in her honor.

Then on September 6, we lost my stepfather.

She knew we'd need a message. We just didn't know that's what we were planting.

When you walk this maze, you're walking her work.

Happy first day of fall, y'all.

Down here it doesn't announce itself with color. It shows up as a 60-degree morning and a pumpkin sitting on a porch that wasn't there last week.

Eleven days until we open. The field is ready.

What's your first sign that fall has showed up at your house?

You'll feel it Friday morning. Sixties before the sun gets up, and it'll still be 80 by lunch…but that first cool porch morning is the one that counts down here.

You don't have to leave Stone County to make a memory like this.

Every face in this video walked through the same barn doors...different years, different families, same reason. A first pumpkin. A big kid showing off the one they grew too proud of to put down. A couple who's been coming since before the wood on these walls had a story yet.

12 days until we open those doors again.

From above, it's a design. From the inside, it's walls of corn on every side and a path that keeps you guessing.

On October 24, these rows fill up for Praise in the Maze, an evening of live gospel music out in the corn maze. It runs 6 to 9 PM, and admission is free.

Bring your chair and your people. Food and drinks will be for sale on the farm.

These pumpkins already have somewhere to be in October.

This is the field trip patch. In a few weeks, kids will walk these rows and each choose a pumpkin of their own, all grown right here in Stone County through this South Mississippi heat.
