Neal doesn’t clock out when the sun goes down.

Every night this time of year, he’s back out in the patch with a flashlight…checking blooms, checking for gourds coming on, hoping the pollination catches.

Nobody sees this part. We figured you should.

This is where “pick your own” actually begins 🎃

There’s a reason Neal plants this same bed every single year.

It’s not the easiest spot. It’s not the prettiest right now. But by October, this exact patch turns into one of the most photographed corners of the whole farm.

We’re not telling you what it is yet.

I wish more people knew you don’t have to leave Stone County for a pick-your-own pumpkin patch.

We hear it all the time, people loading up the car, driving 30-45 minutes out, when there’s a field right here they didn’t know about.

We’re painting the sign this week getting ready for fall. Same dirt roads, same Stone County you already know…with pumpkins on it.

Day 1 of the u-pick flower field starts now

No blooms yet. Just a tractor grading the ground and seeds going into the dirt — but this is where the u-pick flower field for this fall actually begins.

Today, the pumpkin plant: first leaves, true leaves, and the wild part… a female flower already carrying a baby pumpkin before it’s even been pollinated. Right there in the field this week.
