A Tribute to Dolly

Who’s gonna fill those heels,
With that quaint little smile,
The laugh that we all knew
All throughout the miles.
Who’s gonna be the next legend,
That’s songs have brought tears,
One who genuinely cares,
And loves through out the years.
Who’s gonna wear those beautifil gowns,
That come across a little sassy,
Who will say it takes a lot of money,
To be able to look this trashy !
Who will love the little ones,
The ones that are most in need,
Who will send them books,
So they will learn to read,
Who will work 9 to 5 ,
In a coat of many colors too,
Who will be bold enough
To say they’ll always love you
Who will be two doors down,
Talking to Jolene,
Saying Daddy was a old time preacher man,
Trying not to be mean,
Then little Joshua,
Wearing his cute little hat,
Why did you come in here ,
Looking like that?
Who will not back down,
Look them in the eyes,
A sparrow when they are broken,
But a eagle when they fly,
When love is like a butterfly,
Flying to islands in the stream,
Filling those high heels,
Is much harder than it seems.
So here you come again,
With genuine merciful love,
The memories will live on forever,
On the wings of a dove.
