Meet Angelo – Kitchen School Grad & Culinary Rising Star!

Just over a year ago, Angelo graduated from our Kitchen School in Milford—and he’s thriving! Today, he’s prepping delicious meals in the staff dining room at Harrington Raceway & Casino.

Cooking runs deep in Angelo’s roots—his grandfather and uncles own Italian pizza restaurants in the area.

“You could say I was born to cook. I started college right after high school, but eventually found my path in the kitchen—and I persevered,” he shared.

He credits The Kitchen School and Chef Shalisa for helping him turn passion into profession: “Chef Shalisa is the best—more like a friend.”

Angelo’s daily takeaways from The Kitchen School:
• Mise en place—stay prepared. Time is very important.
• Master bulk cooking.
• Do it right, and it comes out right!

With a big smile, Angelo says: “I plan to stay here a long time. I’ve already started my retirement fund, and I’m helping my family however I can.”
