Looking at bellies today, and I’m liking what I’m seeing! Still can’t feel any movement, but my odds look like they are going upward on Oct/Nov piglets!

This right here is why I got goats. They are absolutely wonderful at clearing out the stuff the donkeys won’t touch. I have been waiting for the moment I could get the goats onto the donkeys acreage, and now that part of the fence is up, I can finally let them on to explore and munch on all the w**ds they can.

Why did you get goats?

With the storms we had yesterday, it was time for me to check the fencing in the donkey pen. Nothin like doing it with your buddy by your side!

Thankfully only one tree fell that I could see, and it sadly is the apple tree in our emu pen. Landed right in the pond so that’s going to be a fun removal 🫣. But thankfully no fencing needs repaired at this moment 👏👏👏.

Hope you all are having a restful Labor Day, and than you always to our military, EMS, Law enforcement and firefighters for all you all do each day to keep our country safe.

Reposting Frankie after we were ghosted by a potential customer.

$1🥕🥕 OBO (make offer!)

Born January 2026 here on our farm. Frankie is a heathered Mini Nubian who should stay around mid sized. Has been exposed to children, goats, Kunekune pigs, Emu, geese and ducks. Not a mean bone in his body.

Loves to come for cuddles and treats.

Today the last two babies left from Penelope’s litter. That leaves us piglets free for roughly a month. Seeing lil bit leave was especially hard since I had grown quite attached to her little self. First to be born, and last to leave, she was definitely a special little thing.

I have a feeling we will be having a multi litter group this next batch. Mouse and Sophia our first time girls were both spotted in heat at the same time and I have yet to see a return heat on either of them. I’ll know in about two weeks if we are expecting a few early November litters. And these are 100% the ones I’m most excited about! Hoping Sophia provides us some color and Mouse gives us some pretty registered babies.

Ms. Tw***ie is coming around!

She is still very skiddish when inside the pen, but has came up for treats voluntarily after realizing that I bring snackie snacks. That’s the great thing I’ve found about goats…. The way to their hearts is 99% through their stomachs 😂.

Nothing like tearing down electric fencing, only to put up woven wire fencing!

Our donkeys have enjoyed their paddock but have enough brush and forage to share with the goats and kunes, so we have decided that it was time for an upgrade. It will be a long project, but I cannot wait to see all the happy faces when I let them into the field for the first time.

What have you worked on this weekend?

These goobers had their feed put up for a grand two hours while Gimli was around. Once their bucket was returned to them, you’d swear I had not provided them anything in days 🫣😅.

Disco and Dobbie are Stanley’s height now. Crazy how quickly they grew just the past two months!

The king has returned!

Huckleberry got a full check over by the vet this week and she said to continue flushing his wounds daily and we added an antibiotic to his care. This makes me come back to the house each evening very stinky, but it’s worth it knowing he’s doing much better! We may have narrowed down what happened to him, and unfortunately it may have been a sharp piece of fencing that I missed instead of a predator. I beat myself up about it pretty good and then corrected the issue so it won’t happen again.

We also moved him in with the Nigerian ladies to help perk up his mood and it 1,000% worked! He is full on strutting his stuff like his old self and we are marking our calendars for a bit early kidding season while at it 🫣🤣.
