Supper Club Club March 2026 outing to The Hubbell House in Mantorville, MN!

This is our first repeat visit which was meant to introduce Joe and Cheryl who had not been before. Unfortunately, member Cheryl was sick and unable to join us.

Thank you to Lynsey for the phenomenal service!

Appetizers: onion rings (a Supper Club Club must-have) and cheese curds.

Hubbell House chopped salads for most, with Nick having clam chowder instead of a salad.

Entrées: bacon wrapped filet with shrimp, half-rack of ribs with a side of walleye, petit sirloin with a side of Brussels sprouts, and battered shrimp with cocktail sauce. Several sides of au gratin potatoes were greatly enjoyed, as well as a baked potato. A special shoutout to the garlic toasts provided for the table.

Dessert: french silk with raspberry sauce, coconut cake, chocolate cake, vanilla bean crème brûlée, and bread pudding. Christine and James also enjoyed phenomenal banana ice cream drinks.

Next meeting: July 2026 at a TBD location!

October 2025 outing to Gordy’s Steak House in Willernie, MN.

Yes, you read that right. We drifted into the steakhouse category to do a little investigatory research.

Thank you to Marissa for delightful and kind service. We enjoyed:

Onion rings (not found on the physical menu we were presented but they’re a must-have for Supper Club Club), calamari, artichoke dip with bread + crackers, dinner salads (garden & caesar) with radishes + fresh cracked pepper (no french roquefort dressing available), bread basket x2 (excellent; plenty of butter offered), New York strip, coconut shrimp, salmon, steak oscar, pan-fried walleye, teriyaki green beans. Sides of baked potatoes almost all around the table.

Desserts: Orville and Christine ordered the apple crisp (VERY important: O likes it cold, right of the fridge, not warmed), molten chocolate cake, turtle cheesecake, brandy alexander, and golden cadillac.

Atmosphere: A+. Not a supper club, but has the feeling with dark lighting.

Next meeting: March 2026.

Supper Club Club August 2025 outing!

Tonight we went to The Laurel Supper Club in New Richmond, WI. Relish tray and onion rings (staples), bacon-wrapped water chestnuts, prime rib, old fashions (the WI way, of course!) french onion soup, top sirloin, potatoes au gratin, chicken kiev, beef and cabbage soup, fried shrimp, popovers with honey cinnamon butter, ice cream drinks, all the right things.

It’s your friendly Supper Club Club official outing recap poster (who perhaps should be fired now for this 39 day late post!).

On May 31st, we had a delightful visit to Wiederholt's Supper Club in Hastings, MN. From a classic relish tray and cracker basket, to delectable shrimp appetizers and creamy ice cream drinks, a wonderful time was had by all. The fellowship was top tier, in part thanks to a Supper Club Club member’s former employment at the establishment.

Our next outing is scheduled for mid-August. A much more prompt recap is promised and will be delivered!

Welcome to our page! We are a group of friends - James, Nick, Cheryl, Christine, Joe, and Orville - brought together through the Minnesota YMCA Youth in Government program (and more importantly, our shared love of supper clubs!). Our goal is to meet quarterly at a new supper club/supper club adjacent location somewhere across the state. We figured it would be fun to have a spot to share our stops along the way so here we go!

First up: a belated post from our July 2024 visit to The Lexington in Saint Paul. More on the "supper club adjacent" side, we enjoyed a plethora of delicious items. From meatloaf wellington and a salmon burger (James's favorite!), to their famous "dirty beans" (green beans with oyster sauce and other seasonings) and traditional supper club ice cream drinks, we had our favorite visit to date from an experience lens.

Our next club meeting is scheduled for November. Stay tuned for a recap post!
