They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and they're right. To some, this photo is just a cute picture of a baby goat, walking around with a pretty sunset. To me, this picture shows the love, dedication, sacrifice, blood, sweat, tears and beauty in all of the things we've worked for in our almost 13 years in our house/hobby homestead. From where we started here, to where we are now, is like night and day. 2 young people, with 2 young kids (now 3), without a plan but a dream about what we wanted our life to be like. We've poured all of our hearts and souls into this dream and God has blessed us immensely along the way. He provided us the knowledge, determination and will power to push forward and make our dreams a reality.

So this picture may not seem like much to most, but to me, it's a beautiful reminder of where we started to where we are now. 🩷

Found 2 hidden sets of egg clutches today... 1 was IN our compost bin (chicken eggs) and 1 was behind the chicken coop (duck eggs) under brush. Plus I found a few where they're SUPPOSED to be. 😂 Having chickens and ducks is all fun and games until you find yourself in a DAILY Easter egg hunt... Then it's hilarious. These girls DEFINITELY keep me on my toes. 🤣

Went out to do chores and walked in to a sweet little surprise in our tac room. 😂 Lucy managed to hide, sit on and hatch 6 chicks without my knowledge. Still not sure where she laid them, but it was a happy surprise to have 6 new babies hatched here on our mini farm.
