Spring is always exciting here at Timberhaus Valais Blacknose Sheep. We have (5) purebred lambs that were born in mid- March. If you're in the northern Michigan area, contact us and come see our new additions. Likewise, our partner farm in Ada (Carpenter Hobby Farm) has purebred and breed-up lambs as well. If you're interested, some will be available after weaning. As always, we're happy to talk sheep.

Definitely late posting here, but wanted to post some pictures and info on our trip to Switzerland back in September. I was lucky enough to be part of a group of US Valais Blacknose breeders that attended grading/judging training in the small village of Visperterminen in the Canton of Valais in Switzerland, Home of the "Cutest Sheep in the World". We started by assisting the swiss shepherds in bringing the village sheep down from high up in the Alps. We attended hands on training classes for grading the Valais put on by Swiss experts. We assisted in prepping sheep for grading, and then participated in the grading event. Just a spectacular trip!

Do you have your plans for this fall's breedings? Interested in a beautiful purebred Valais ram to make part of your farm? We're moving in late August and don't have pasture space for our yearling ram so it's time for a new home very soon. He has wonderful structure and movement. He has extra black around the back side of his face, but otherwise is very well marked. His dam, Freya, was awarded maximum points -1 at the first National show in Iowa in 2023. His sire is the beautiful Solwaybank Commander. He's registered with the VBSS.

Hi everyone! Meet Luna and Lyra. Twin 100% purebred Valais ewe lambs out of our Ayla and Celtic Cross Farms HSF King Arthur. Mom's had a bit of a rough go. She was poked in the eye with straw giving birth then had a uterine infection a few days later. Everyone seems to be flourishing now, though!
