On a fun note I’m slowly getting good at the egg stamp. Trial and error I guess you can say.

I add a lot of things into our feed to help with many factors of our flocks life best part is it’s all organic things, it helps with the egg quality as well and the bonus is they absolutely love it. I can say this is a win in my book. This had some seeds in it this time of mixing it for an extra little treat which I try to do on occasions minus all the vegetables and fruits they get ❤️

Slacking on the post from our coop here is just a few of our sweet ladies over the last few weeks.
They are all living the good life ❤️.
I might have added a mini chicken to the flock we shall see how that goes not sure if it will be a good idea or not but it was a better life solution for this sweet one (pictured with a yellow and black blanket) she is extremely cuddly).

On a side note one of the silkies decided to show us that she is in fact a he and man his little voice is absolutely adorable!

Head count for our flock now is 34 chickens!!
Oops 😬 but just look how cute and sweet they are!
This crazy chicken lady also has an incubator and will be looking to try it come the being of spring and I can’t wait ❤️

If you can’t tell by now who the most social bird of our flock is 😂
Cornbread aka heihei is a social butterfly and doesn’t mind being carried, pushed in a stroller or pulled in a wagon she is down for whatever my little girl wants to do with her. Cornbread is definitely a lady. We have had her a while now and never truly knew but obviously she isn’t crowing, doesn’t have the spur on her feet and is laying eggs now which I seriously couldn’t be more excited about. Out of all the polish bird she was the only one to survive and she started off so tiny we were scared to know if she would survive or not and she beat the odds! Obviously now she is more social for the reasons of her being so tiny for the longest time actually she still is tiny so she was in the house awhile longer before being introduced to our other flock due to her size and worry of what she may have had since she was the only surviving polish bird so she got more love then all the birds combined which now she rubs it in 😂

Don’t mind my mess in the pictures 😂

What I have done all week and still have another day at least to go just for this little project then the next project is adding a door to the side of the big coop for the other bigger birds to go in the pen I made for all of the birds to hang out together.

Pictures are from what I started with and what we have so far ❤️
Id like to think I’m pretty handy to have done this for the most part by myself. Nobody could see what I seen from the wood crate. Obliviously it will get to where it has wood covering all the cracks and the windows will be open but will get boards for the winter but we came a long way 😁
Our Chickens even have a swing and a picnic table lol

Next projects to come this summer!

_Add a ramp for the new coop for the babies to get down to the ground safely
_Finish the current project which will be done before Tuesday night
_Add wood to the small coop(currently it is safe and has good airflow for the summer heat for the babies)
_Add a door to the big coop
_Finally add an actual roof to our big coop which I have but just haven’t had time yet to do it.
_Add different nesting boxes
_2 more cameras for the babies and the run 😁

Yes this is 3 big chickens in one milk crate nesting box, I think they just wanted to support each other 😂😂😂
They even got some delicious watermelon and apples and they were all in heaven.
Biggest thing they love Watermelon, Apples, Pumpkins, and watching me eat while they sit under my legs like dogs waiting for something to fall to the ground for them to sn**ch and run like crazy so the other birds don’t snag it from them 😂😂

Weekend fun!
These babies are getting an addition and run built slowly but it’s coming together 😁
I’ve never built anything in my life until I built my first chicken coop by hand last spring for our big chickens. It is a 8x8 building that stands 6.2 feet tall and has a small porch on it, lucky chickens! The next is being built which will not be that big because it will have less chickens and they are getting a run built that will have automatic chicken doors on both coops so they can stay out all day and go in and out as they please until the night time when the doors will shut to keep them safe 😁
These babies all are living luxury if you ask me.

I’m excited for the run I got them a swing and picnic table and will have other things for them to climb on and enjoy while they enjoy being in a safe outdoor space ❤️

Fun with the baby chicks this weekend!
They got to enjoy the outside for a long time yesterday and they soaked it all up. Yes that is indeed 11 babies in a transfer box to get them all outside and back inside safe they were all in that box for not even 5 minutes from the time they went in to there next destination but they loved being close to each other 😂❤️

Yes we had 15 chickens we got last year and yes we added 11 more this year, no I’m not crazy I’m just saying chicken math is real 😂 okay maybe I’m a tad nuts 🐓🐓😂
