Hey! We's a gettin mighty close y'all. Close??? You bet cha close! Yea buddy we's a gettin close to firin up that ole smoker for another "Smoken" season, and some more of that lip smackin, fanger lickin, goodstuff. Reckon we remember how? Yea, I reckon we do. Anyways, we still ain't got an exact time, or date set yet, as I haven't quite finished with all my radiation and chemo treatments, but I'm a gainin on em, and y'all'll be the first to know. I promise. Our goal was and still is, to be smoken up a storm in June.

I do want y'all to know just how much I luv, and appreciate all y'alls prayers and well wishes you've been sendin our way, and please know that they are being felt. Thank you.

Good mornin Guys-n-Gals, and to all your lil Fellers-n-Darlinnns too;

Normally, our Smoken season would be underway by now... So, I figured I'd drop y'all an apology, and lil update.

As most of yuns know, I've had to undergo a full Laryngectomy, to remove a mass from my throat that was blocking my ability to breathe and swallow. Surgery was a success, but a full Laryngectomy also removes your ability to speak vocally, but I have plans to be fitted with an TEP. A TEP is a gadget that will be implanted in my wind pipe that will assist me to speak. It will need quarterly maintenance but, in my opinion, it's is better suited for my needs than those hand held devices, and certainly better than a chalkboard. My treatments are ongoing, my Doctors are very pleased, my health is good, and spirits are "SMOKEN" high. We's been a Lil down-n-out, but that's cause we ain't opened up yet, and I'm a missin all y'all somethin terrible. Oh Yea!,,, Miss Eileen says hey, and that she's a missin yuns too.
Well,,, our goal remains the same, and that is an opening date that will fall in June,,, the specific date, and hours to be announced sooner than later. Just hang in there, you know, like a hair in a biscuit,,, cause we's a comin back for some more of this lip smackin, fanger licking, good stuff. Thank y'all for all your prayers and well wishes. I, we want to thank all y'all for your countless prayers, and well wishes.
I, we just wanted to update everybody on my health, and on Lil Jim's 2026 "Smoken" season.

Well, we've made it through the first week of radiation, and our first round of Chemo, with nothin glowing yet.

Anyways, Our openin day? It ain't got a date yet,,, we's still waitin to see how the treatments are goin to affect me. Ya know,,, I've heard some good stories and some bad'ns.
As time moves forward and everythang remains good-n-positive, it's still lookin like sometime in June. Me and Miss Eileen's sure a thinkin, sooner'd be better than later. Are yuns t**d of the same ole lunch, day after day, and are yuns bout ready for some of this lip smackin, fanger lickin, good stuff? Hang on in there, and please stay tuned cause we's a comin.

To our whole "Smoken" family;

Welcome all y'all, and thank you, thanks for all for your prayers, and well wishes. This is an update on my health, and Lil Jim's 2026 "Smoken" season.

The end of February I underwent a
laryngectomy. April, and May I will be undergoing chemo, and radiation therapy. I really want to thank all y'all for all your continued prayers and well wishes. And to let you know that Lil Jim's will be back to "Smoken" this June 2026, for some more of this lip smackin, fanger lickin good stuff. The specific date will be announced a lil later. But I really want y'all to know that I luv, and cherish each and every one of y'all, and that even though I am down, I ain't out, and I'm lookin forward to seeing all y'all again very soon. Please stay tuned, and may GOD bless each and every one of y'all.

Good evening smoken family! This is Miss Eileen, giving you an update on Mr. Jim. His surgery went well. He is healing everyday, and his outlook is very positive. Continued prayers are much appreciated. We feel them, for God's presence surrounds us and we are uplifted. Love to everyone and hope see you in May.

Good morning, Guys-n-Gals, and to our whole "Smoken" family, good morning. It's been a lil while, ain't it? I've been needing to get on here and talk with y'all for a lil while now. It seems that we've had us one of those life, "Hiccups" that happens to us all from time to time. You know,,, them sneaky ones, that hit cha from out of nowhere? Anyways;

November 2025, we lost my father.
December 2025, I was under the weather, trying home remedies
January 2026, I was air lifted to Lexington where I was soon fitted with an emergency Trach. I've since been through a few different procedures all leading up to my very own Laryngectomy..
Long story short, I have a mass that's been found in my larynx that was preventing my ability to breathe. My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24. Any further treatments will be determined by the outcome of this surgery.
As to Lil Jim's 2026. I, we have every intention to open up for another "Smoken" season, plum full all of all this, lip smackin, fanger lickin, good stuff. So, "please stay tuned". Much luv y'all and may GOD bless each and every one of all y'all.

Good morning, afternoon, or a good evening, to all of yuns. Looks like it's that time of year, that time that we, me and Miss Eileen, turn into home bodies, at leaste for a lil while. Ya see, we've just delivered the last turkeys for this season. We want to thank all y'all for your inspiration, your friendship, and your support. Did-gee?

Did-gee finally get that smoked turkey ordered? They's still a lil time if ya ain't. Orders need to be placed by 5:00pm Monday November 24th.

I want to thank all of yuns for all your support, kind words, and prayers during these past several days since the passing of my dad. You have shown me just how special our community really is.
(Smoked Thanksgiving Turkeys)

This is how it works.

*We furnish the 14 lb., to 16 lb. Turkey.
*We furnish the preparation.
*We furnish the "SMOKEN."

All we need is a $40.00 deposit, to be made by (Monday, November 24th,) to reserve your bird. The balance of $35.00 is due (November 27th) when you pick up your order.

Deposits to be made in person, please contact me, and we will figure that out together. Please, text, and or call me on my personal line at 1 (662) 255-6612.

In addition, we are also offering side dishes for your Thanksgiving table. Most of those are 4 to 5 quarts in volume, and will be $45.00 per side dish. Dishes available are Baked beans, Beans-n-taters, Collard Greens, Brunswick Stew, Hoppin Jon, Sweet Corn, and Green beans-n-taters. So sorry, but Mac-n-Cheese will not be available for this special. Your side dish order will be made at the time you reserve your Thanksgiving Turkey.

Other dishes, and or meats can be made available but needs to be discussed.

In Loving Memory of James Alfred Sharp II
May 17, 1943 – November 11, 2025
James Alfred Sharp II, affectionately known as "Brother," went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 17, 1943, to James Alfred Sharp and Opal Ruth (Silcox) Sharp, James lived a life marked by devotion to his family, friends, and faith.
James was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his cherished grandson, Nathaniel James Sharp. His legacy continues through his devoted son, James Alfred Sharp III, and daughter-in-law, Eileen (Lapak) Sharp. He is lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, J.R. Sharp and Patrice Sharp, as well as a host of extended family and friends who mourn his passing and celebrate the impact he had on their lives.
Known for his warmth, wisdom, and humor, James touched the hearts of all who knew him. Family gatherings, shared stories, and steadfast support were hallmarks of his life. His gentle spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by everyone, fortunate enough to have been part of his journey.
The family wishes to thank all those who have offered prayers, love, and support during this time of loss. While James may have departed from this world, the love and memories he leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
A graveside memorial service at Pleasant View Cemetery is planned for 2:00 pm Sunday, November 23, 2025, with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. The Llewellyn Funeral Home of Jellico honored to serve the family.
