So we experienced another hit last week. Our dad Art started Send Brothers Farm with his brother Richard. He was such a key part of our youth and continued to work with us even after they sold us the farm. He will certainly be missed.

Thank You everyone for your kind thoughts and memories of Marty. Send Brothers Farm is having a celebration of life on Saturday September 27 from 2-5p.m. at the Feed Mill at 8670 Bates Rd. in Williamsburg.

We are so thankful to the staff at Reynolds Jonkhoff https://www.facebook.com/share/1MYR52SjVi/?mibextid= for all their help during this process. They were kind, worked so quickly and followed Marty’s wishes to a T.

It brings us so much sadness to let our customers know that Marty unfortunately passed on Tuesday due to complications from Melanoma cancer. The outpouring of support has been moving to see how many people were impacted by him. Mark and Eric will continue to run the farm with the help of some of the younger generation. Attached is his obituary and links for Cowell Cancer Center and Munson Hospice House if you would like to make a donation in his name. Both were causes he asked to be supported.

It’s almost that time of year many of you have been waiting for. The sunflowers are starting to blossom, full bloom will be in just over a week and typically lasts about 2 weeks. This year all of our fields are on private property that we lease from local land owners. Please keep this in mind as you enjoy the beauty of these flowers. The majority of the fields are on Elk Lake Rd this year. Feel free to take all the pictures you desire and share them with our page if you want. As always we ask that you do not pick or damage the flowers, they are a crop we harvest in the fall to sell as bird seed. And watch out for the 🐝 they are crucial to our world and love our sunflowers.
