This market holds a very special place in my heart. When we first moved to Martin Co, it was my favorite place to shop on Saturdays 🥚🥦🥕🫜🫑🥒💐. Over the years, it was great to get to know so many wonderful people and eventually share seedlings and flowers with the community through the market. It’s a treasure in our little community and I’d love for more people to discover it (so be sure to share this post or hop over to the MCFM page and share their posts). I hope you’ll come check out the renovations and support all of the wonderful, local, small businesses 💕

The field is slowly coming along and we will have limited flowers available so be sure to stop by early to grab your locally grown flowers. 💐 We will also have fresh eucalyptus available as well as some dried flowers .

Martin County lost a good man. Respected by many, no matter what side of the law you were on.

Passing of Sergeant Shaun Cratt

It is with profound sadness that I share with the citizens of Martin County that Sergeant Shaun Cratt unexpectedly passed away yesterday after experiencing an off-duty medical emergency.

Shaun began his service with the Martin County Sheriff's Office in September of 2006. During his nearly 20 years of dedicated service, he became much more than a deputy sheriff; he became a mentor, a friend and a trusted leader. Many of our newer deputies and employees looked to Shaun for guidance, wisdom and support.

To know Shaun was to know someone who was compassionate, caring, loyal and dependable. He was the kind of deputy who could be called upon at any hour, on any day and he would always answer the call. Shaun never hesitated to go above and beyond in service to others, whether helping a citizen in need or assisting a fellow deputy.

A lifelong resident and proud son of Martin County, Shaun found great joy in helping people. He genuinely cared about those around him and worked tirelessly to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Beyond his dedication to public service, Shaun had a remarkable ability to make people laugh. He understood that even during life's most difficult moments, a smile or a laugh could provide comfort and healing. His sense of humor and positive spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Every member of this office has a story they could tell about Shaun. His impact on this agency and our community cannot be measured by years of service alone. He was family to us and losing Shaun feels like losing a brother.

On behalf of the Martin County Sheriff's Office, I ask that you keep Shaun's family, friends and fellow deputies in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to express our deepest thanks to the members of the Hamilton Volunteer EMS, Robersonville EMS, Martin County Emergency Management, the Williamston Police Department, Williamston Fire / Rescue, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and any other agency, first responder or bystander that provided assistance.

I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the many citizens, local businesses and community members who have reached out to offer their support, prayers and condolences. Your kindness has meant more than words can express.

As we mourn this tremendous loss, I ask that you remember Shaun for the man he was: a caring, fun-loving, dedicated Deputy Sheriff who faithfully served the people of Martin County with honor, compassion and integrity. He will truly be missed.

Drew Robinson, Sheriff of Martin County

Be weather aware on Monday evening/night

6/21/26 @ 135PM - We are monitoring the potential for isolated strong to severe thunderstorms tomorrow (Monday, June 22). Current thinking is isolated showers and thunderstorms come in from the west after 7PM and bring a low end threat for strong winds (40-60 mph).

A day of rest. A day of inspiration. A day of reset.
Tomorrow I’ll return to the field and get to work, restarting seeds, pulling weeds, and making the best of things 😊

Good Friday morning flower friends,
I’ve had to make the hard call to not attend the farmers market this weekend. 😢 Between the drought causing extremely slow growth and now damage by a groundhog, I do not have enough cut flowers available to justify setting up a booth this weekend. 💐 However, I do have just enough cut for a few bouquets so if you’d like one, I will have them available this evening throughout the weekend for local pick up.
The field will rest and recoup this week. I am incredibly thankful to God for the rain we are currently experiencing; every little bit helps. Keep posted for updates throughout next week. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support.
