Money can’t buy happiness.

But it can buy farm animals, and that’s basically the same thing 🫶

Some marriage disagreements are serious.

Others are… about bacon.

I’ve always said regular bacon and jowl bacon taste exactly the same. They’re cut from different parts of the pig—belly and cheek—but to me, smoky is smoky, salty is salty, and delicious is delicious.

Alex, on the other hand, will fight for jowl bacon’s honor until he’s red in the face. He’ll make his case with the kind of passion most folks reserve for politics—rich flavor, tender bite, worth hoarding in the freezer. And every time we restock, plenty of you prove him right—stocking up on jowl bacon by the armload, sometimes in the dozens of pounds.

And so, the debate goes on.
Me on one side, Alex (and half our customers) on the other.

The only thing we all agree on?
Bacon, in any form, never lasts long here.

Are you team regular bacon or jowl bacon?

Can we just take a moment to admire this Ancient Grain loaf? 🤎

This beauty is made with organic, fresh-milled Emmer and Einkorn from Barnes Farms and Milling Company, plus fresh-milled hard red winter wheat. There’s just something special about knowing exactly where the grain in your bread came from—and milling it fresh right before it goes into the dough.

Freshly milled flour isn’t just about the incredible flavor. Whole grains contain naturally occurring oils, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that begin to change once the grain is milled. Milling fresh helps preserve more of those qualities while giving your bread a depth of flavor and aroma that you simply can’t get from flour that has been sitting on a shelf for months.

And when that wheat is grown right here in our region, we get the added benefit of supporting local farmers, keeping more of our food dollars close to home, and shortening the distance between the field and your table.

We’ve been quiet … for a good reason. 🤍

If you’re new here, hi, my name is Paige. My husband, Alex, and I own a small farm in Northern Kentucky that we started in 2018. Our “little” farm has grown alongside our family with our five children and all the beautiful chaos that comes with raising kids and running a farm.

Last July, we lost our second son, August, just weeks before we were supposed to meet him . Somewhere along the way, I went from being the person who did all the things to someone who was simply trying to make it through the day and figure out how to heal.

So yeah… this comeback is personal. 🤍

And while this pregnancy comes with a lot of joy, it also comes with a different kind of perspective. I know now that I don’t have to prove how much I can carry. I don’t have to keep pushing through just because I can.

This time, I’m choosing to slow down. To rest. To protect this baby. To take care of myself.

As much as we love being a part of our weekday market family, we will not be attending any weekday markets for the remainder of the 2026 season. Our weekend offerings will stay about the same for now, but depending on how I’m feeling, quantities may change and some varieties may be eliminated along the way. If there’s something you really want, pre-ordering is highly encouraged so we can make sure you get it.

We’ve spent the last year learning that sometimes moving forward doesn’t mean going back to who you were. Sometimes it means becoming someone new - softer in some ways, stronger in others, and a whole lot more intentional about what matters.

Thank you for sticking with us through the quiet, the hard, the rebuilding, and now this new beginning. Thank you for giving us room to heal and for continuing to show up for our little farm and our family.

We’re still here. And for the first time in a long time, we’re really looking forward to what comes next. 🤍
