We’ve been in business for a year and half and we’re still going strong! Thank you, Grant County families, for all the love and support you’ve shown these last two seasons. Your patronage means everything to us and has helped to create an institution downtown. We love being an integral member of Williamstown’s revitalization!
On a personal note, last week was a difficult time for our family as we struggled with the news of a serious diagnosis. As it usually happens, people rarely think to reprioritize their time until they face an emergency, which is exactly where we find ourselves now. I have been trying for several months to find a professional and enthusiastic person to hire as a shop manager, but trustworthiness and availability seem to be elements I cannot control. Now considering the newest curveball life has thrown my family, I have no choice but to still my mind of all the fears and big emotions and just remember that God always provides.
The Kentucky Icebox seasonal shop hours are now Thursdays and Fridays from 3-9 and Saturdays from 12-9 (which means we’ll still be around for all of Williamstown‘s upcoming events, including Marigold Day, the Bluegrass Festival, Halloween and Country Christmas!)
Please keep in mind that we are still THE ONLY downtown rental space, that our picturesque shop makes for gorgeous photos, and that we’re AFFORDABLE! So far, we’ve been fortunate enough to host parties, Bible studies, family get-togethers, and bridesmaids luncheons for groups up to 20. It’s a lovely option!
Most importantly of all, please pray for my family. The shop has been such a blessing to us in so many more ways than just as a business. It has been made so clear to us time and time again that we are serving this community in ways that we can’t even fathom. It has been my mission to be a blessing to every single person who walks through that door, but it seems that the blessing always goes both ways. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers and are open to expanding our team in creative ways in the next weeks and months ahead. Let us know if you have any brilliant ideas!
