I spent part of the afternoon lining the goat shed with feed bags for winter. Tito was occupied the entire time 😂

Did you know that you can recycle all your feed bags to help keep your critters warm? They are a great form of insulation for your enclosures by blocking drafts!

Unfortunately the time has come for the farm stand to be done for the year. It’s barely above freezing when I leave for work and I feel it’s too cold to leave eggs out for the day, especially when it’s 60° by the afternoon. It’s just too much of a temperature fluctuation for me to be comfortable with for food safety purposes.

I want to thank everyone that stopped by the stand, especially my loyal regulars!! I hope you all enjoyed our eggs! We’ll see you in the spring! 🥚🥰🩵

I have a couple dozen eggs out in the farm stand. With temperatures starting to drop, I’ll bring the eggs in at night and put them back out in the morning. Probably wrapping up the farm stand in a couple weeks! Get them while you can! Also just a reminder- fall molt is in effect here and I’m not getting as many eggs per day as I did in the summer. Thanks to everyone who’s stopped by the stand!! 🩵🥚🐔

I have a couple cockerels, 4 weeks old today. They are either BCM or BCM/olive egger. I have a lot of identical looking chicks that hatched out of dark brown and dark green eggs, so I’m not sure what they are. I can keep until they’re off heat if need be. Williamstown. Free.
