Rocks and Roses Rocks and Roses is a homestead focused on the concepts of permaculture, biodiversity and survivalism. We minimally influence breeding, birthing and weaning.

We raise all of our animals using humane animal care practices from birth to harvest. We provide all animals daily access to pasture grass and seasonally supplement with minerals, hay, and forage. We only cage animals for their safety and protection from predators and allow them as much space to roam out doors as possible. While we do not prophylactically treat animals with antibiotics or hormones

, we do provide recommended vaccinations, check ups and medical care as needed. We try to use natural methods of illness prevention as much as possible. Harvesting animals is done thoughtfully and quickly, and we use as many parts of the animal as possible so that nothing is wasted.

We have 4 sides of Grass-Fed Beef for Sale; available Friday. The meat available was from yearling Dexter Bulls, so it'll be very tender and the weight is lower....two sides at 85 pounds each (1/2 cow) and two sides at 65 pounds each. This is a great option for small families who want to buy local beef, but can't commit to a larger animal. The cost is $8.00 per pound of butchered weight. These animals are free range, grass-fed and grass-finished. No corn for these babies ever, so their nutritent profile is amazing! This is the best beef you can buy locally! Comment below or PM if you're interested. You'd pay your deposit to hold your spot, and then pay the exact balance based on final cut weight on delviery day.

This beautiful multicolored Rex Breeding Trio is ready to make their way to your farm today! The buck is black and the does are lilac or castor. We call them "The Mighty Rex" on our farm because of their large body size, lush coat and gentle temperament. They make a great all-purpose farm animal; meat, fur, 4H projects, etc. . Are you ready to start or expand your rabbitry? I have Rex Breeding Trios and Single Does Available. All are about 7 weeks old. The single does could breed in Trio One, but NOT Two. OK friends. We've JUST turned the corner into laying season, and I will start having a regular supply of chicken eggs beginning March 3. The other types of eggs will be another 3 weeks or so. I know who I have on my list for LAST year, but if you want to be on my list for THIS year please let me know by commenting below.

It's been a crazy busy week on the farm this week. This sweet puppy (we think) got dumped on our County Road, so we took him in and he's fitting right in with the family.
We've got lops and New Zealand bunnies up for sale, and we have 1 side of beef left for sale.
Also planning for the end of Farmer's Market in September and getting geared up for Iron Horse and other fall craft fairs.
OH YEAH, and the kids went back to school....
