Now that summer break is here, we're seeing more ATV's and other off-highway vehicles on city streets. Before you ride, take a moment to review some important safety reminders:
🛑 Drivers must have a valid driver's license or permit
🛑 Off-highway vehicles must be properly registered and insured
🛑 Riders under 18 years old are required to wear a DOT-approved helmet
🛑 Headlights, taillights, and brakes must be in working order
🛑 Obey all posted speed limits and traffic laws
🛑 Only carry passengers if the vehicle is designed and equipped by the manufacturer to do so
As always, never operate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and do not ride on private property where trespassing is prohibited.
